Correlative conjunctions

Parallelism, or parallel construction, is the use of words or groups of words of equal grammatical rank. Equal grammatical rank means that words are connected only to words, phrases only to phrases, subordinate clauses only to other subordinate clauses, and sentences only to other sentences. Establish parallel construction by using coordinating conjunctions, correlative conjunctions, and correlative constructions. 

The equations given predict vapor behavior to high degrees of accuracy but tend to give poor results near and within the Hquid region. The compressibihty factor can be used to accurately determine gas volumes when used in conjunction with a virial expansion or an equation such as equation 53 (77). However, the prediction of saturated Hquid volume and density requires another technique. A correlation was found in 1958 between the critical compressibihty factor and reduced density, based on inert gases. From this correlation an equation for normal and polar substances was developed (78) ... 

The important point to note here is that the gas-phase mass-transfer coefficient fcc depends principally upon the transport properties of the fluid (Nsc) 3nd the hydrodynamics of the particular system involved (Nrc). It also is important to recognize that specific mass-transfer correlations can be derived only in conjunction with the investigator s particular assumptions concerning the numerical values of the effective interfacial area a of the packing. 

Application of IP and NCS in conjunction with specification tolerance limits enables to substantiate acceptance criteria for linear regression metrological characteristics (residual standard deviation, correlation coefficient, y-intercept), accuracy and repeatability. Acceptance criteria for impurity influence (in spectrophotometric assay), solution stability and intermediate precision are substantiated as well. 

We have used the basis set of the Linear-Muffin-Tin-Orbital (LMTO) method in the atomic sphere approximation (ASA). To treat itinerant magnetism we have employed the Vosko-Wilk-Nusair parametrization for the exchange-correlation energy density and potential. In conjunction with this we have treated the alloying effects for random and partially ordered phases with a multisublattice generalization of the coherent potential approximation (CPA). 

This has been shown to correlate for a wide variety of tower packings, various operating conditions, and physical properties of the solute and inert gases. The k(j calculated must be used in conjunction with the effective interfacial areas determined by Shulman [65] Figure 9-47, to establish a reliable value for kGa. Figure 9-47 should be used with the abscissa as G/Vp/0.075 for inert gas other than air [67] ... 

The term impact implies a very high speed of the acting force, whereas toughness is not related to any specific speed. Since the two terms are used in conjunction with each other in describing resistance to impact, it appears desirable to correlate those readily obtainable properties that would reflect on speed of impact and toughness. 

In other substance use disorders, the use of 12-step interventions is also popular, and participation in 12-step groups is correlated with better outcomes in cocaine abusers (e.g., McKay et al. 1994). However, a smdy of 128 cocaine abusers found that cognitive-behavioral therapy was more efficacious than 12-step facilitation in engendering cocaine abstinence (Maude-Griffm et al. 1998). Thus, the relative efficacy of 12-step approaches for drug use disorders requires further investigation. No known studies have systematically evaluated the efficacy of 12-step treatments in opioid-dependent patients, either alone or in conjunction with pharmacotherapies. 

This work describes one approach for optimizing recovering systems using a simulation package in conjunction with standard statistical techniques such as designed experiments, multiple correlation analyses and optimization algorithms. The approach is illustrated with an actual industrial process. 

Metal complexes of ligands containing a sulfur donor in conjunction with nitrogen, oxygen or a second sulfur have been reviewed in the past [11-13]. For example, reviews of the coordination compounds of dithiophosphates [14], dithiocarbamates [15, 16], dithiolates [17], dithiodiketonates [18], and xanthates [16] have appeared. The analytical aspects [19] and the spectral and structural information of transition metal complexes of thiosemicarbazones [20, 21] have been reviewed previously. Recent developments in the structural nature of metal complexes of 2-heterocyclic thiosemicarbazones and S-alkyldithiocarbazates, depicted below, are correlated to their biological activities. 

These parameters have significant effect on the final viscosity of gel in the fracture. Correlations to estimate friction pressures in field size tubulars have been developed from laboratory test data. In conjunction with field calibrations, these correlations can aid in accurate prediction of friction pressure of borate-crosslinked fluids. 

There are two common systems for categorizing patients with HF. The New York Heart Association (NYHA) Functional Classification (FC) system is based on the patient s activity level and exercise tolerance. It divides patients into one of four classes, with functional class I patients exhibiting no symptoms or limitations of daily activities, and functional class IV patients who are symptomatic at rest (Table 3-5). The NYHA FC system reflects a subjective assessment by a health care provider and can change frequently over short periods of time. Functional class correlates poorly with EF however, EF is one of the strongest predictors of prognosis. In general, anticipated survival declines in conjunction with a decline in functional ability.

A rapid characterization of the viscosity of waterborne automotive paint was reported by Ito et al. [24], FT-Raman spectroscopy in conjunction with partial least squares regression (PLS) was applied and led to a reasonable correlation.
