Composite specifics

The alloys of titanium utilised in industrial applications have compositional specifications tabulated by ASTM. The ASTM specification number is given in Table 14 for the commercially important alloys. MiUtary specifications are found under MIL-T-9046 and MIL-T-9047, and aerospace material specifications for bar, sheet, tubing, and wine under specification numbers 4900—4980. Every large aircraft company has its own set of alloy specifications. 

Fluid Specifications. The performance characteristics of all antifreeze solutions are governed by fluid specifications, that have been developed over the years by industry standards committees, such as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Additionally, most engine and/or cooling system manufacturers have thek own compositional specifications to which the fluids must conform.

We can conclude that it is possible to use some of the cold feed as reflux in the top stage without voiding the product composition specification. This outcome is not an obvious choice for the problem specifications.

Although a number of filler characteristics influence composite properties, particle size, specific surface area, and surface energetics must again be mentioned here. All three also influence interfacial interactions. In the case of large particles and weak adhesion, the separation of the matrix/ filler interface is easy, debonding takes place under the effect of a small external load. Small particles form aggregates which cause a deterioration in the mechanical properties of the composites. Specific surface area, which depends on the particle size distribution of the filler, determines the size of the contact surface between the polymer and the filler. The size of this surface plays a crucial role in interfacial interactions and the formation of the interphase. 

Among the more common thermoplastics from ring opening polymerization of interest in composite processing are polylactams, polyethers, polyacetals, and polycycloolefins.
