Colon cancer enhanced metastasis

Colon cancer is the fourth most fatal cancer. Chemotherapy via injection route is the usual way of reducing tumor growth and thus preventing metastasis. Several smdies have been undertaken to find out a possible route of administration of therapeutic dmg and have come up with a colon specific dmg delivery system via oral administration. Since pectin is only selectively degraded by the colonic micro flora, it can protect the dmg degradation from the upper GI tract, thus enhancing maximum bioavailability and lower dosage requirement [84],...
