The efficiency of the vegetable matter (burr and seeds) removal mechanism depends on the carefiil maintenance of settings and speeds and the level of drying of the scouted wool (86). The butt wastes contain wool fiber. Butt, together with fiber which has dropped beneath the card, may be carbonized and used in the woolen system. 

For catalyst testing, conventional small tubular reactors are commonly employed today [2]. However, although the reactors are small, this is not the case for their environment. Large panels of complex fluidic handling manifolds, containment vessels, and extended analytical equipment encompass the tube reactors. Detection is often the bottleneck, since it is still performed in a serial fashion. To overcome this situation, there is the vision, ultimately, to develop PC-card-sized chip systems with integrated microfluidic, sensor, control, and reaction components [2]. The advantages are less space, reduced waste, and fewer utilities. 

In order to elaborate a state system for registration of wastes, with Resolution 1360 from 31.08.98 the Council of Ministers of Ukraine approved the order for registration of sites where wastes are produced, recycled and used. With order Ns 41 from 17.02.99 the Ministry for environmental protection of Ukraine approved a form for register cards.

Morey, Sasser, Bethea, and Kopetzky ( ) examined and classified the plant parts in Shirley analyzer waste from six raw cottons that had been processed through the model card room at North Carolina State University. Bract, leaf, weeds, veins and endocarp were the major plant parts present. Bract and leaf constituted up to 52 percent of the foreign matter in the cottons they examined. There was evidence that using gin lint cleaners reduced the total trash content but Increased the proportion of bract relative to other foreign-matter particles remaining in the fiber.

The innermost and outer layers of the cocoon are regarded as waste material, as are inferior cocoons, or those that already hatched. This material is degummed and carded, yielding short-fiber silk that is called schappe. The degumming process of these fibers often involves fermentation in manure. 

The quality of the workmanship may indicate the type of material used. Tortoiseshell is unlikely to be wasted on very coarse work. The item for which the material has been used is also an indication of whether it is horn or tortoiseshell. Horn was seldom if ever used for dressing table sets, picture frames, card cases, and so forth. These were all traditionally made from tortoiseshell.

Many leads for further searching will be found in these books, both as to related fields of subject matter that should be examined and to specific references to the prior literature in books, periodicals, and patents. These may be numerous if so, it is wise to record each pertinent reference as noted, preferably on a separate card, so that the cards can be kept in alphabetical order by author, or in numerical order by patent number, and serve as a check list as the search progresses. Time wasted in recording duplicate references can be eliminated by such a check list. 

Spun silk is made out of damaged cocoons and any other form of waste which is broken up and no longer in continuous filaments. It is carded like cotton and then spun. It is usually made out of waste from which the sericin has been removed, but when silk which is still in the gum is spun the yarn is known as chappe. 

TRI is essentially a public report card for the industrial sector and acts as a powerful motivation for decreasing pollution and waste. It gives an annual account of the country s management of toxic chemical wastes, and concerned organisations can use the TRI information as a starting point for dialogue with manufacturing companies. 

Every year around the holidays, thousands of cards are sent to family and friends. Most of these cards are just thrown away after the holidays. You can reduce the amount of paper waste by calling someone on the phone or sending an electronic card via e-mail. When you receive cards, don t just make more trash. Instead get out your scissors and make Clip-and-Snip Cards.
