In the food industry, cellulose finds applications as a major component in paper or cardboard packaging materials and as thickeners and stabilizers in food. Siace a large part of the beer market is take-home beer, brewers must provide retailers with packs that are easily handled and stored. A very important aspect of dressings production is packaging. The packaging material must allow correct sterilization conditions (e.g. permeation of moisture or ethylene oxide), retain the dressing in a sterile condition and allow for its removal without contamination prior to use. All dressings intended for aseptic handling and application must be double wrapped.
