In August 1967, we made still another trip to the West Coast, this time to attend an electronics show in San Francisco s Cow Palace and to visit Boeing, NAA, and a few other companies. We had had an inquiry from a small company, Marks Systems, who had become recognized as a manufacturer of developing equipment for Eastman Kodak s Bimat system. If the distributor does not play an important role in terms of value-added and customer access, a direct disintermediation approach may be advisable.
