If Vd, Vdj and Vd are the voltage drops in the three phases, then the average voltage drop... 

To reduce stray currents, voltage drops in the rail network should not exceed a certain limiting value over an average time (see Table 1 in Ref. 1). A distinction should be made here between the average voltage drop in the core of the network and the voltage drop in outlying stretches of the network.

SRU and stack performance were evaluated through current density-voltage (i-V) measurements. I-V curves were plotted until a maximum cell voltage of 1.5 V. Short-term durability tests were conducted on the stack over a few hundreds of hours, the stack being galvanostatically controlled to reach an initial average voltage around 1.3 V per cell. 

A battery-operated radio uses an AA-size alkaline manganese dioxide battery. Calculate the theoretical energy density of a lead-acid battery at 25 °C. If the movement of the front is measured by the average voltage of three thermocouples fixed at equidistant points in the desired area of this front (see Figure 1), the effective range of measurement is limited due to saturation. Within the limits, the averaged temperature changes nearly linearly with the deviation of the front. If the limits are exceeded, the output of the measuring device can be considered to be constant. 

The final product is usually yellowish-gray and contains 0.3 per cent NaCl. A pure product is obtained by recrystallisation. It contains mo more than 0.05 per cent sodium chloride. With an average voltage of 3.8 V and an average current efficiency of 88 per cent, the energy consumption will be approximately 650 kw.-hr. per 100 kgs. of product.

Ni-Cd batteries can be used at a wide range of temperatures (—40° to +50°C). Fig. 3B shows a family of discharge curves at various temperatures for sealed Ni-Cd batteries. As shown in the plot, both capacity and average voltage decrease with decreasing temperatures. At -20°C, about 80% of the rated capacity can be obtained at 0.2 C rate.
