Architecture framework

We have observed large variations in the sorption capacities of zeolite samples characterized by (ID) channel systems, as for instance AFI (AIPO4-5 zeolite) and MTW (ZSM-12 zeolite) architectural framework types. Indeed, for such unconnected micropore networks, point defects or chemisorbed impurities can annihilate a huge number of sorption sites. Detailed analysis, by neutron diffraction of the structural properties of the sorbed phase / host zeolite system, has pointed out clear evidence of closed porosity existence. Percentage of such an enclosed porosity has been determined. [Pg.161]

Once a common set of interfaces and a common architectural framework are laid down, many designers can contribute components to the kit. Products can then be assembled from the components (see Figure P.2). [Pg.18]

Although the amino acid sequences have no identity (except at the active serine), the two enzymes show a similar architectural framework consisting of a central five-stranded parallel /3-sheet structure. The catalytic groups are positioned on this /3-sheet structure in a strikingly similar way, though there are also some significant differences. [Pg.266]

While product data modeling in an application domain has focused traditionally on a detailed and complete representation of all domain concepts together with their relations and defining attributes, the IMPROVE approach has been radically different. The major focus has been on the design of an extensible architectural framework for product data modeling rather than on a detailed and comprehensive model itself. [Pg.744]

Application domain modeling is a time-consuming and expensive effort which requires an appropriate conceptual foundation to be carried out effectively. The research in IMPROVE has lead to a general architectural framework for application domain modeling which can serve that purpose. C -EDM can be directly used, modified, refined and extended in chemical engineering and other engineering domains. There are various levels of sophistication in using the model. [Pg.751]

The structures, the interactions, and the dynamics of proteins are fundamental to their function. The dynamic properties of proteins in the nucleus are essential for their function in nuclear architecture and gene expression. High mobility of proteins ensures their availability throughout the nucleus and the dynamic interaction creates the architectural framework for nuclear processes. Thus, nuclear morphology is shaped by the functional interactions of nuclear protein components. Studies with fluorescently tagged protein molecules reveal high mobility, compartmentation, and repeated transient interactions. [Pg.30]

Metal aUcoxides and their organic derivatives have pre-existent metal-oxygen bonds that help to synthesize nanomaterial with desired functional gradient properties for its use in technology. The intramolecular rearranganent of molecular precursor leads to the formation of M-O-M architectural framework with novel properties. The electronic effects help for a good understanding of the reactivity. The reactivities of metal... [Pg.384]

A systems approach - LAND 125 (L125) high level architecture framework... [Pg.33]

The Systems Engineering support to the L125 Project was provided under contract by Cranfield University over the period 2007 to 2010. The intention was to use best-practice systems engineering methods to understand the L125 problem space from a technical as well as a socio-cultural and organisational perspective, to both create and populate a Land 125 architecture framework capable of informing numerous stakeholders of the key operational needs, through to assessment of options to address them. [Pg.34]

The pilot plant has a Distributed Control System by ABB Automation, model Sattline. All the sensors and actuators are connected to the DCS. The DCS program has to be developed taking into account the integration architecture framework described in Section 5. Therefore it was necessary to describe the plant following the S88 terminology. Description of the Control Module (only reactor R1 is shown). Equipment Module (only reactor R1 is shown). Master Recipe (full recipe for the two products) and Control Recipes (only product PI and Equipment Eql is shown) are given next. [Pg.526]

Nowadays, software and system engineering industry evolves to manage new platform technologies, design techniques and processes. Architectural frameworks for information integration and tool interoperation, such as MDA, had created the need to develop new analysis tools and specific techniques. [Pg.79]

The main problem in time-dependent reliabihty analysis is its complexity The state space of models of real systems can grow arbitrarily large [15] and, thus, highly efficient techniques are required to yield results in a feasible time. Furthermore, an accurate modelling of all dependencies in these inherently complex systems requires an ever growing diversity of new gates. DFTCalc constitutes an architectural framework that addresses both challenges. [Pg.294]
