In humans, the antidepressant activity of NMDA receptor antagonists has not been evaluated extensively (Skohiick 1999). Antidepressant-like activity of jatamansi was observed in rats orally administered 100,200, or 400 mg/kg of an ethanol extract daily for 14 days. In vivo antidepressant-like activity of lO-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA) in stress-inducible depression-like mouse model was conducted.
