Aloe vera

Aloe vera is well known for its healing properties. It has been used for centuries to heal a variety of conditions, such as burns, wounds, irritated skin, and bug bites. Regarding wound healing, many beneficial properties of aloe vera gel has been reported including the abilities to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, prevent itching, prevent bacterial, fungal and viral growth, and enhance blood flow [60-63]. Additionally, aloe vera is widely used in cosmetics, food, and dietary applications. 

Although BC and aloe vera have been applied in many fields, the BC-aloe vera composite has rarely been investigated. Saibuatong and Phisalaphong [26] have characterized the biosynthesis of

Traditionally, aloe vera is used in ointments and creams to assist the healing of wounds, bums, eczema, and psoriasis.

Mildness nd Skin Additives. The increased frequency of bathing and the changing consumer need has necessitated the development of products having skin care benefits. In addition to the two most common additives, fatty acid and glycerol, there is a wealth of other additives which are frequendy used. Examples include lanolin, vitamin E, aloe vera gel, mineral oil, and baking soda.

The most widely used and effective disinfectant solutions are based on iodine (iodophor) with concentrations ranging between 0.05% and 0.1%, but sometimes higher concentrations are recommended. Other agents such as chlorhexidine or chlorine dioxide, peroxide, sodium chloride and lactic acid may also be effective (Wilson et al., 1997) but are not common. Recent trials show positive effects of aloe vera-based dipping agents (Leon et al., 2004). One problem of iodine containing products is their low pH value (<4.0), which is necessary for their antimicrobial activity (Hansen and Hamann, 2003).

Those items are overwhelmingly plant products, and they range from aconitum napellus (monkshood), alfalfa, allium cepa, aloe vera, angelica, and anise seed to witch hazel, yarrow, yellow dock, yohimhe hark, and yucca.

Micro-Emulsions with Aloe Vera and d-Limonene... 

The following formulas are clear, microemulsions of d-Limonene and Aloe Vera. They represent the range of d-Limonene and Aloe Vera concentrations commonly used as degreasing solvent cleaners. These formulas are generally used by diluting in water (1->16 oz./gallon depending on the use requirements). The formulas are clear and exhibit a bloom effect upon dilution. 

In all cases, mix Monamulse DL-1273 with d-Limonene until completely dissolved and of uniform consistency- Add the Iso propanol, mixing until homogeneous. Pre-mix Aloe Vera Gel with water. Slowly add to batch with stirring until uniform.
