Word Job

This definition of a job identifies a sequence of definite steps or separate activities that together accomplish a work goal. The jobs have in common the fact that they involve a sequence of steps of work. When the last step is completed, a work goal has been completed (e.g., the truck is loaded, the pallets are stacked, the conveyor is loaded, the forklift inspection is completed, and so on). Again, JHA applies to jobs or tasks, not occupations. 

The end goal of JHA is to make a job safer to work. If supervisors or workers do not know the hazards and injury potential associated with a job, they cannot do anything about the hazards to make the job safe. Therefore, the first thing that must be done to make a job safe is to identify and understand the hazards and potential injuries associated with each job step. 

Solutions must also take the form of a prescribed safe way to avoid the hazard. For every known hazard associated with a job step, there must be a solution that nullifies the hazard.

Different words are used, in different countries, to describe the same job or piece of equipment. Some of the principal differences between the United States and the United Kingdom are listed here. Within each country, however, there are differences between companies. 

Some of the best job openings never reach a newspaper or employment agency. These are the ones spread by word of mouth fi om one laboratory to another or by people who have heard of the new laboratory about to open. 

Throughput is in simple terms the average saleable production output per a given time unit. Cycle time is the average time between the release and completion of a job, in other words, the rate at which products are manufactured. Key parameters that affect throughput in a chemical plant include the chemical conversion, yield, capacity and availability of existing equipment, process time, cycle time, number of chemical steps, number of unit operations, plant layout, warehouse processes, raw material availability, process bottlenecks and labour availability, amongst others.

Depression is not just an individual problem it is also a social problem. The people most likely to become depressed are poor, unemployed and undereducated.53 To some extent, this may be due to what is called social selection or economic drift. People who are chronically depressed might find it harder to perform well or even hold a job, and this might lead to a downward shift in their economic status. In that kind of situation, you either stick it out or quit. I decided to stick it out, because I actually liked my job and most of the people I worked with really liked me. One woman in particular offered her support. Others told me they, too, were experiencing sick building symptoms while at work. But everybody was watching their own career ladders and had to be careful. I didn t want to put anyone else in jeopardy. Sequester means to confiscate, seize or take control of something to prevent its further use. The word comes from the Latin sequester, meaning a trustee or agent whose job was to seize property. 

While this example demonstrates how details improve your writing, there are instances when the right modifiers can get your message across in fewer, more accurate words. This is critical in a personal statement that is limited to two pages or 500 words. You don t want to sacrifice unique details, but sometimes one word will do the job better than three or four. For example, promptly can take the place of in a few days-, productive can take the place of much was accomplished. 

In auditing various industrial workplaces, we found that this particular OSHA standard is one of the most misunderstood by employers. Based on our experience, we found that OSHA s use of the words "near proximity to" and "adequate" contribute to the vagary and ambiguity of this standard. Most employers understand the need to provide first aid supplies in the workplace, but generally think that this is the extent of their responsibilities in this regard. Moreover, many workplaces do train their personnel on basic first aid and CPR, but do not require (in written job descriptions) that the trained employees respond to a workplace medical emergency. 

Another factor which may sway a court, particularly since the Sindermann case, is whether the "common law of the job indicates a right of employment security. In other words, is there a handbook of work rules, an implied promise, or an oral statement or memo to the worker, or anything else supplemental to the contract which creates an enforceable right of job security for the employee ... 

The goals of treatment during the acute phase of illness are to reduce the positive symptoms of schizophrenia and to plan for extended treatment during the maintenance phase. Reducing the positive symptoms quickly is important for at least two reasons. First, the erratic behavior of an acutely psychotic patient can take a tremendous toll, risking arrest, loss of job, suicide, and the alienation of friends and family. Second, there is some evidence that psychosis itself is harmful to the brain. In other words, it may be that the longer the patient is actively psychotic, the worse the prognosis becomes. 

While the lying with silence essay does a good job with the introduction, its conclusion needs work. Notice how it simply restates the thesis instead of putting it in different words. Make your reader s job as easy as possible. Reading takes time and effort. You want your reader focused on your message rather than on figuring out what you are saying. If your reader is working just to understand your words, he or she may misunderstand your message. 

It s true, you should write concisely, simply and directly because it makes your reader s job easier. However, when writing fiction and poetry, figurative language can make your reader s job very enjoyable. Creating pictures with your words allows them to take shape and form, and they appear as special features or movies for an audience of readers. 

No matter how easy or complicated a math word problem, you should always have some guess or inkling or idea as to what the answer may be before you even get started on solving it. Even if you re way off with your guess, this exercise is very useful. You re more apt to check the work if you think that the answer is way out there. Many times, you just find that you didn t do a very good job of guessing. Other times, you find that you made a mistake in the arithmetic and you can go back and correct your error. 

Due to its complexity, a truly integrated approach is required in designing a production rule base to provide the job description for the FMS dynamic scheduler. This is because the dynamic system relies heavily on the knowledge base as represented by the rule base, and an overly restrictive rule base will lead to inefficient, at times even wrong, decisions. In other words, such a structure should represent all the multilevel interactions and their possible precedence rules that relate to the manufacturing process planning and processing decisions in an FMS. This turns out to be a difficult task.
