Waring blender test

Other emulsion test methods are used to rate the ability of fuel to shed water. These methods include ASTM D-1401 and the Waring Blender Test. The ASTM D-1401 method is a lubricant test method, but has been adopted by the U.S. military for rating diesel fuel demulsibility. This method is summarized by ASTM as follows ... [Pg.185]

The Waring Blender Test is not an ASTM standard, but is commonly used to rate fuel demulsibility. This test method can be summarized as follows ... [Pg.186]

Texaco. 1988. Instructions for performing the Waring blender test procedure. Beacon, N.Y. [Pg.315]

Although there is no official ASTM test to measure the water handling properties of gasoline, there are a number of widely used industry tests. One uses a Waring Blender to simulate high shear (57), whereas another uses a wrist action shaker to simulate mild shear conditions (58). [Pg.187]

Sample preparation. Kiwifruit purees were prepared from the hand peeled fruit in a 1°C room after removal of seeds anmd cores. The product was homogenized in a Waring blender, and frozen immediately in sealed glass jars at -26°C. The frozen purees were thawed and mixed thoroughly before analysis. For the nectars, four representative cans were tested for each sample and the average values are reported. [Pg.306]

The test portion (50g) was extracted with 250 mL methanohwater (80+20) for 1.0 minute at high speed in a Waring blender. The mixture was gravity settled for 15 minutes and filtered through Whatman No. 4 filter paper. This common filtrate was used for all immunochemical and TLC analyses. [Pg.163]

Note If this yield is still not being achieved, further work is necessary to determine the cause since further increases in mixing would not appear to be effective. A very high shear device such as a rotor-stator or Waring blender could be tested to determine if the reaction is still too fast (DaM too large) to realize the maximnm possible yield (minimum Xs). [Pg.828]
