Vista program

The Research Council of Norway and the Statoil Vista Program are thanked for financial support. [Pg.10]

VISTA presentation of comparative data is easy to interpret both on a small and a large scale, i.e., at different levels of resolution. All VISTA programs and servers use the same type of visualization, making interpretation of alignments easy. Because VISTA tools are being constantly improved and enhanced, new options and capabilities can be found on the website. The VISTA support group (vista lbl.gov) will help users explore these new options and answer questions. [Pg.5]

The retrieval of calculated 3D geometrical parameters for a substructure, as shown in Fig. 2, which can be used in further analyses, e.g., using the Vista program described below. [Pg.164]

Apart from locating relevant crystal strnctnres, ConQuest also outpnts nser-defined geometrical descriptors for all occurrences of the strnctnre or snbstrnctnre of interest. These data may be analyzed nsing the CCDC s Vista program (Section 3.1.3), or can be read by Microsoft Excel and other statistical packages. [Pg.2267]

We gratefully acknowledge support from Statoil under the VISTA program, administered by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters (stipend to V.S.), and from the Norwegian Council for Science and the Humanities, NAVF. [Pg.275]

The present nonlinear elastic analysis results for peel stress and shear stress are compared with those obtained by the VISTA program(23) in Figures 2 and 3, respectively. The results are in excellent agreement. [Pg.377]

The jobs that failed did so because of insufficient diskspace, and this occurred at the first high-level correlation step. The calculations were done with the G03 program on a computer with the 64-bit 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Quad CPU, 4.00 GB RAM, and 900 GB diskspace, running under Windows VISTA. They reflect the times and size limitations of these methods on a well-equipped personal computer as of ca. 2009 January. The use of anions here is adventitious, stemming from another project. [Pg.314]

The published work of Hudson and associates is characterized by a continuity of purpose that is remarkable. Hudson never deviated from his objective of carrying out fundamental investigations of his own choosing in the carbohydrate field. He never allowed any of his efforts to be integrated into the exploitation of a crop or of a disease neither would he be diverted by programs devised by research planners or Bureau chiefs. Although interested in theory, Hudson was essentially an observer. He was ever alert to the unexpected and unusual, hoping thereby to open new vistas. [Pg.437]

Capillary gas chromatography (GC) was used to determine the aminopropyldisiloxane concentration. An 11-m column (0.2-mm internal diameter) coated with a dime thy Isiloxane stationary phase was used. Temperature-programming techniques and a flame ionization detector were used. Tetradecane was used as an internal standard. Details of the chromatographic conditions have been reported earlier (8). A Varian Vista 402 data station simplified the calibration and analysis for both the HPLC and GC methods. [Pg.148]

Chlorinated compounds were analyzed by gas chromatography-electron capture detection (GC-ECD) on a Vista 44 GC System equipped with a DB-1701 fused silica, capillary column (30 m, 0.25 inn I.d. J W Scientific). Helium and nitrogen were the carrier and make-up gases, respectively. The Injector and detector temperatures were 260 C and 285 C. The column oven was temperature programmed from 65°C (held 1 min) to 230°C at 25°C/min, held at 230°C for 7.4 min, and then heated to 245°C at lO C/min. The linear velocity at maximum temperature was ca. 50 cm/sec. All GC Injections In this study were splltless with the Inlet purged 1 minute after Injection. The retention time of decachloroblphenyl under these conditions was approximately 26 minutes. [Pg.201]

Gas chromatographic analysis was performed with each fraction using a Varian Vista 6000 gas chromatography (GC) system coupled with a Vista 401 data system (Varian Instruments, Sunnyvale, CA). A flame ionization detector (FID) was used and the sample was separated on a glass capillary column (30 m x 0.25 mm with WCOT SE-30), temperature programmed from 100 C to 280 C at 8°/min, and held at 280 C for 10 min, which allowed observation of the n-alkane... [Pg.234]

The carbon fiber support and the catalysts before and after reduction were characterized with various techniques, viz. X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), temperature programmed reduction (TPR), Nz-physisorption, inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry (Vista AZ CCD simultaneous ICP-AES) and hydrogen chemisorption. [Pg.203]

Browser, obtained from the VISTA plot of D. melanogaster vs D. ananassae (Fig. IF). The names of participating genomes as well as the program used for the alignment are shown in the top banner. [Pg.11]

A review of the literature reveals that previous finite-element analyses of adhesive joints were either based on simplified theoretical models or the analyses themselves did not exploit the full potential of the finite-element method. Also, several investigations involving finite-element analyses of the same adhesive joint have reported apparent contradictory conclusions about the variations of stresses in the joint.(24,36) while the computer program VISTA looks promising (see Table 1), its nonlinear viscoelastic capability is limited to Knauss and Emri.(28) Recently, Reddy and Roy(E2) (see also References 37 and 38) developed a computer program, called NOVA, based on the updated Lagrangian formulation of the kinematics of deformation of a two-dimensional continuum and Schapery s(26) nonlinear viscoelastic model. The free-volume model of Knauss and Emri(28) can be obtained as a degenerate model from Schapery s model. [Pg.364]

The computer programs for modeling explosive and propellant performance on personal computers are included on a CD-ROM along with extensive collections of the data files required for describing explosives or propellants to be modeled. The VISTA operating system was released in early 2007. Most of the computer codes and movies on the second edition CD-ROM will not operate under VISTA. Computer codes, movies and PowerPoint presentations were developed that will operate under VISTA for the third edition CD-ROM. Also developed were codes that will operate in the OS X operating system for the Apple IMAC computer. [Pg.532]
