Vectors types

Several vectors have been used in an attempt to deliver the cf gene to the airway epithelial cells of sufferers. The most notable systems include adenoviruses and cationic liposomes. The host bacteria used for production of recombinant proteins are usually E. coli, or Bacillus subtilis they may express proteins at 1 % to over 50% of the cellular protein, depending on such variables as the source, promoter structure, and vector type. The number of features combined in a vector-type representation is indicative of the dimensionality of the problem space. Low-dimensional representations, on the one hand, allow easy visualization but are most often not very discriminative.
