Reports are required for any chemical substance that is on the Inventory at the beginning of the reporting period, which is June 1, 2011 for the 2011

Although, for either lattice, the iterative application of the update rules themselves is straightforward, the visualization of the time evolution of patterns is complicated by the fact that not all sites can be seen at one time.

The Boltzman Machine generalizes the Hopfield model in two ways (1) like the simple stochastic variant discussed above, it t(>o substitutes a stochastic update rule for Hopfield s deterministic dynamics, and (2) it separates the neurons in the net into sets of visible and hidden units. Figure 10.8 shows a Boltzman Machine in which the visible neurons have been further subdividetl into input and output sets. 

To support the analysis of the solutions we will introduce several new predicate types. We have already described the basic state model in Section II, E. Explicitly manipulating parts of this model is an important component of the reasoning required to derive new control conditions. We will introduce the predicate, form , which will enable us to analyze the form of the state update rules, or constraints between variables. After cells L and R divide, we get four cells LT, LB, RT, and RB (where L is left, R is right, T is top, and B is bottom). All cells have the same genome (and, thus, update rules), but they also inherit the steady state vectors of their parents. The steady states of new cells RT and RB are not perturbed by any external influence, in accordance with the update rules of Table 10.1. However, for new cells LT and LB, the resetting of bit 1 in the neighborhood vector results in bit 2 of their state vectors switching ON. The U.S. HPV chemicals are those which are manufactured in or imported into the United States in amounts equal to or greater than 1 million pounds per year. The U.S. HPV chemicals were identified through information collected under the TSCA Inventory Update Rule (lUR). Organic chemicals that are manufactured in, or imported into, the United States in amounts equal to or exceeding 10,000 pounds per year are subject to reporting under the TSCA lUR. Reporting is required every 4 years. 

According to EPA Inventory Update Rule 2002, Great Lakes Chemical produced 4500-22 500 metric tons each year of TBE from 1986-1994, but the production decreased to 450-4500 metric tons per year after 1998 [60]. This diminution in production may be the cause of the relatively constant concentrations in the sediment core in sections dating after 1985. However, since Great Lakes Chemical plans to replace the octa-BDE product with TBE, there may be an increase in the production of TBE, which will show up as increased concentrations in surficial sediments in the future [60]. 

A9.6.4.4 The U.S. EPA has recently posted a draft document on its website Development of Chemical Categories in the HPV Challenge Program, that proposes the use of chemical categories to voluntarily compile a Screening Information Data Set (SIDS) on all chemicals on the US HPV list. .. [to provide] basic screening data needed for an initial assessment of the physicochemical properties, environmental fate, and human and environmental effects of chemicals (US EPA, 1999). This list consists of ...about 2,800 HPV chemicals which were reported for the Toxic Substances Control Act s 1990 Inventory Update Rule (lUR) . 

Inventory Update Rule (lUR) (40 CFR 710). The lUR was established in 1986 to require manufacturers and importers of chemicals listed on the master TCSA Inventory to report current data every four years on the production volume of chemicals imported or produced. Food and feed products produced from natural agricultural product, such as oilseeds, are not required to be reported but all oU and meal products obtained by solvent extraction that is sold for other than food or feed use (e.g., oils as chemical raw materials and meal as fertilizer) are. Cottonseed oil, soap stocks, acidulated soap stocks, deodorized distillates, hydrogenated cottonseed oil are some of the substances reported by extraction and refining operations under lUR. EPA amended this rule in 2003 (1/9/03 68 FR 848). Cottonseed oil is on the list of partially exempt substances, which are not subject to the new reporting requirements for processing and use data but continue to have to report the current lUR information as well as manufacturing exposure-related information.
