In the Priorities for Action of the IFCS in the year 2000, the target year 2008 was set for implementation of a harmonised system, and this was endorsed by the World Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002. The system adopted in late 2002 was revised in 2005 and 2006 (UNECE 2007).
