Trigger point

Nonpharmacologic therapies include reassurance and counseling, stress management, relaxation training, and biofeedback. Physical therapeutic options (e.g., heat or cold packs, ultrasound, electrical nerve stimulation, massage, acupuncture, trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks) have performed inconsistently. 

Pressure detection shall be used for closed enclosure applications. Threshold detectors provide an electric signal when a preset overpressure is exceeded. Dynamic detectors provide an electric signal to the control and indicating equipment (CIE). Typically they have both rate-of-rise and pressure threshold triggering points that can be configured specifically to the application conditions. Although this type of detector minimizes spurious activation of the isolation system (due to pressure fluctuations other than explosion pressure rise), care shall be taken to set up such detectors to meet appropriate detection response criteria for the particular application and protected enclosure geometry. 

Further information must be submitted after the amount of substance supphed to the EU reaches the Level 1 and Level 2 trigger points and the possible studies are given in Annex VIII of the Seventh Amendment. Some Level 1 testing may be required at 10 tonnes per annum (or 50 tonnes cumulative), but will definitely be required in full at 100 tonnes annually (or 500 tonnes cumulative). 

Live plant measurements will be fed to the model via the plant control computer. The model will then use the measurements and the target minimum gap to predict the alarm trigger point which will be communicated back to the control computer. This control computer is a conventional distributed control system (DCS), which has all the necessary software and displays for alarm handling and recording. The model itself will reside on a separate PC. Communications between the PC and the DCS will be subject to error checking and the system will default to the old fixed alarm value if a fault is detected.

The pool of upstream systemic IL-1, IL-6, TNF-a and IgG, IgM, including autoantibodies is bigger than the pool of local down-stream ones in early disease. In late disease the pool of local cytokines, TNF-a, and autoantibodies is bigger than the pool of the upstream ones. This happens when symmetrical poly-arthritis, trigger points of enthesitis, and secondary fibromyalgia have developed. That is why weekly PA is as important as IVT in late stages of the disease.

Fig. 7.7.11 shows the pre-crash roadmap. In the first stage (pre-set), radar sensors provide information such as relative speed to obstacle and expected moment of collision. The system includes this information in its triggering decision. Because the radar sensors cannot provide any information on mass or condition of the obstacle, the system decides on actual triggering of a restraint medium based on acceleration sensors. However, activity assays may serve as a more rationale approach to the exploration of active metabolites. This is most often and most effectively done in the setting of an in vivo efficacy experiment that allows for both pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic information to be gathered. Analysis of the relationship between the PD endpoint and the PK profile will sometimes demonstrate an apparent disconnect between the two data sets and point to the possibility that an active metabolite is responsible for some of the activity. These disconnects can serve as clear trigger points for the initiation of active metabolite searches. 

Data Reduction. Repeatability test data were reduced and plotted as shown for a hypothetical case in Fig. 4. The slope of the lines shown depicts the boil-off rate for a particular run. All reasonable wet and dry points fall within the respective bands. The total band encompasses all readings, dry and wet. The dead band is the area where no readings fall. The dead band is caused by intentional tolerances associated with the sensor triggering point and such considerations as differences between output relay pull-in and drop-out currents, and by other experimental uncertainties. Overlap of dry and wet readings were also observed in some cases these may be partially explained by meniscus and surface-tension effects. Response times were taken directly from the recorder charts and tabulated. 

In the event that a serious incident was to occur and the system put in the frame, investigators will quickly turn to the safety case. An out of date safety case is a prime target for criticism and failing to maintain such an important report brings into question an organisation s entire safety culture. Organisations need to develop trigger points which automatically and habitually prompt a review of the safety case and elicit a possible revision.
