Training feedback importance

The various elements of the error management program such as the development of high quality procedures and training and effective feedback and communications systems need to be supported by policies and standards to implement these policies. The development of these policies is an important strategic aspect of the implementation process. 

I believe that this immediate feedback contributed importantly to the results Ryzl got, although he himself emphasized the hypnotic state. Because the training went on over a long period, his percipients would have an opportunity to learn to discriminate which qualities of imagery went with successful use of psi and which did not. 

A pharmacist also is likely to make use of interpersonal communication skills when interacting with patients and other practitioners such as physicians. Training in these skills is essential. For example, pharmacists may need practice and critical feedback in writing effective SOAP (subjective, objective, assessment plan) notes to be sent to physicians. It is important that pharmacy personnel develop confidence in their ability not only to provide new pharmacy services but also to market their services to all groups of consumers (i.e., patients, health care providers, and payers). 

One of the new creative ideas to promote employee involvement and the expression of their ideas is the targeted hazard identification system. This system provides an easy and cost-efficient method through which employees are trained to identify safety hazards in their workplace and provides a mechanism through which the hazard can be corrected. Additionally, this system provides a simple method by which employees can express their ideas and acquire feedback within a 24-hour time period (see Appendix C for program details). Important components of this program are the anployee involvement and the acquisition of their opinions to generate corrective action. 

It should be kept in mind, that besides providing a comprehensive systemized risk assessment report, many other factors to gain a successliil safety performance in an enterprise in order to diminish accidents are also important such as management coimnitment to safety, workers active participation, safety training, good communication and feedback etc (Vredenburgh 2001).
