Test characteristics

The results of both experiments showed that the analysis in the frequency domain provides new technological possibilities of testing characteristics of austenitic steels. Using known phase-frequency characteristics of structural noises it is possible to construct algorithms for separation of useful signal from the defect, even through amplitude values of noise and signal are close in value.

System suitability test characteristics and limits are recommended as a component of any analytical method. The testing should cover those features susceptible to change during storage and likely to influence quality, safety and/or efficacy. Stability information should cover as necessary the physical, chemical and microbiological test characteristics. Validated stability-indicating testing methods must be applied. The need for the extent of replication will depend on the results of validation studies.

These prototypes are then tested by means of starrdardized drop tests to determine the resulting head accelerations, and thrrs the relative protective capability of the design with respect to applicable standards. It is important that, during simultaneous study of gas-sensing and catalytic properties of doped metal oxides, it was established that, as a rule, the change of sensor response does not coincide with the change of catalytic activity of analyzed material (see Fig. 23.10) (Yamaura et al. 2000). Such behavior of tested characteristics testifies that the observed decrease of sensor response is not connected with reducing catalytic activity of sensing material, as could be assumed at first sight.
