CHEMTREC An organization established in the United States, which stands for the Chemical Transportation Emergency Center. Indeed, in 2004, Thorne Research developed the first such product, which it calls Perfusia-SR. Each capsule contains 350 mg, with directions to take three pills twice daily, in the morning and the evening. Dr. Alan L. More often, service records of fabricated metals are presented—for example, Equipment Progress supplies information on corrosion resistance of metals under unusual conditions.

In response to the DC1, the manufacturers and sellers of PBO technical advised the USF.PA that they would develop the necessary data. These companies were Endura Spa, Takasago USA. Inc., Hard wi eke Chemical Company Division of Ethyl Corporation, McLaughlin GormLey King Company, Fairlield American Company and its parent. Wellcome Foundation, Prentiss Drug. Chemical Company. Scientific Information. Only a few offices are prepared to provide information concerning scientific activity. When unable to answer a request, the usual procedure in the information office is to refer it to a suitable home ministry. The British Information Services and those of the commonwealths are well qualified to supply information bearing on research. The Pakistan Association for the Advancement of Science offers a good select bibliography concerning scientific progress there. Several countries (Sweden, Union of South Africa, etc.) have stationed in the United States science attaches whose function is to channel notice of American scientific advances to their countries. The technical adviser to the Swedish Embassy can advise United States inquirers about scientific matters in Sweden, and the French National Center for Scientific Research (C.N R.S.) maintains a New York office which supplies information on French science. Offices possessing library or reference files occasionally contribute scientific data from those sources.

During World War II he served as technical adviser to the Commandant of the Chemical Warfare Service Development Laboratory at M.I.T. This laboratory, designed for use by the Chemical Engineering Department, served as its quarters from 1946 to 1976. He was appointed Chief Scientific Adviser to the Chief of Research and Development in 1958 and has lived in retirement in Arizona since 1960. His services as a consultant in the fields of petroleum, textiles, paper, and mechanical and electronic equipment were of great value in introducing the realities of the chemical engineering profession into the classroom, thus making his lectures come alive for the students. 

This does not mean, however, that technical accuracy should not be strived for in natural gas energy measurement. What it does mean is that, when the scienrilic community has imput in the formulation of proposed legislation and regulations, technical advise should be clear and unbiased. If this approach is followed, scientific accuracy could be fully considered and accounted for. The overall result should be that scientific accuracy and all other relevant considerations are properly balanced in laws and regulations. 

Savannah River Reactors. Wigner s last active participation in reactor design was in connection with the Savannah River heavy-water production reactors in 1952. The du Pont Company, which had responsibility for the Savannah River Project, called on Wigner as general consultant to carry on this work, he took leave from Princeton and, as he did in the Hanford design, he served as an overall technical adviser on the Savannah River design. 

Macnab (1858-1941), the most celebrated authority on explosives in Britain before the war, joined Lord Moulton s Committee on Explosives in 1914 and from 1915 to 1918 served as Technical Adviser to the Department of Explosives Supply, Ministry of Munitions. Paul Heroult continued as an inventor. He is renowned for the Heroult furnace, which he patented in 1907. It is an electric arc furnace for steel that gradually became the melting machine for scrap in the modern steel industry (see section 8.9.3). In 1905, Paul Heroult was invited to the United States as a technical adviser to several companies, and in particular to the United States Steel Corporation. 

During the period of limited emergency, the U.S. Army mobilized thirty-six divisions and activated seventy air force groups—together a phenomenal achievement. With these developments the Chief, CWS, was closely concerned as technical adviser to the War Department on gas defense training. It was his responsibility to counteract the inevitable tendency to neglect, in the rush of such rapid mobilization, a type of training for which need was not immediate. It was his job to see that a serious flaw— vulnerability to gas... 

The chiefs of the technical services had two distinct fields of responsibility. Each administered an important procurement and supply agency, supervision of which was delegated by the War Department to Headquarters, Army Service Forces. At the same time each branch chief was a technical adviser to the Chief of Staff and/or the Secretary of War in his special field, the Surgeon General in the field of medicine, the Chemical Officer in the field of chemical warfare, and so forth. In this latter capacity, the relationship of the technical branch to the War Department was naturally direct rather than through the commanding general, ASF.
