Equipment Progress

Plessey Nucleonics, Ltd., Mine Detection and Auxdiary Equipment, Progress Report No. 1, 31 December 1958. [Pg.85]

Descriptions of the fabrication and application of metallic materials are published in several house organs. These may concern the machining of the material, as described for aluminum in the Technical Adviser. More often, service records of fabricated metals are presented—for example, Equipment Progress supplies information on corrosion resistance of metals under unusual conditions. [Pg.105]

Slater, M. J. 1996. Liquid-liquid extraction equipment progress and problems. In Proceedings international solvent extraction conference, 35-42. Melbourne The University of Melbourne Press. [Pg.198]

The column inventory also can be reducdd by the use of low-holdup column internals, including the holdup in the column base. As the design progresses, other features can be included to reduce the inventory. Thermosyphon reboilers have a lower inventory than kettle reboilers. Peripheral equipment such as reboilers can be located inside the column. ... [Pg.263]

The pinch design method is a step-by-step approach which allows the designer to interact as the design progresses. For more complex network designs, especially those involving many constraints, mixed equipment specifications, etc., design methods based on the optimization of a reducible structure can be us d. ... [Pg.403]

In recent years, however, enomious progress has been made and with the availability of the appropriate MW equipment pulsed EPR has now emerged from its fomier shadowy existence. Fully developed pulse EPR instrumentation is nowadays connnercially available [31, 33]. [Pg.1573]

Chromium is the most effective addition to improve the resistance of steels to corrosion and oxidation at elevated temperatures, and the chromium—molybdenum steels are an important class of alloys for use in steam (qv) power plants, petroleum (qv) refineries, and chemical-process equipment. The chromium content in these steels varies from 0.5 to 10%. As a group, the low carbon chromium—molybdenum steels have similar creep—mpture strengths, regardless of the chromium content, but corrosion and oxidation resistance increase progressively with chromium content. [Pg.117]

Before any remedial or preventive actions are implemented, an evaluation should be conducted as to appHcabiUty to the specific plant. The evaluation should continue while the actions are in progress. The main action should be to take measures to reduce the ingress of contaminants into the steam generator by using more rehable materials, such as in the condenser tubes, to reduce leakage. Contaminant control equipment, such as full-flow condensate deminerali2ers, should also be employed. [Pg.194]

In most batch facilities, more than one batch of product will be in some stage of production at any given time. The batches in progress may or may not be using the same recipe. The maximum number of batches that can be in progress at any given time is a function of the equipment configuration for the plant. [Pg.753]

All but the very simplest equipment suites contain multiple process units. The minimum number of process units is one for each type of processing equipment required to make a batch of product. However, many equipment suites contain multiple process units of each type. In such equipment suites, multiple batches and multiple production runs can be in progress at a given time. [Pg.756]
