Tables word processing

Apply a guide word to the process parameter to suggest possible deviations. A list of guide words is shown in Table 10-3. Some of the guide word process parameter combinations are meaningless, as shown in Tables 10-4 and 10-5 for process lines and vessels. 

In a similar manner to the program for optimization of a packed column, the program written in table (2) is in a very simple form that can be translated easily to the basic language used by other computers. The output will be sent directly to the monitor screen in the output window. However, by replacing the PRINT statements by LPRINT statements the output will be sent to a printer. If the clipboard is defined a file, and the result print, statements are replaced by write statements, then the results can be sent to the clipboard and pasted into word processing text. When you prepare your tables using word-processing software, a few techniques ensure a smoother transition to either Web or print publication. 

Avoid using hard returns to add space between rows of the table. If you wish to show more space than is apparent with double-spacing, use the line formatting feature of the word-processing program instead. 

Documentation has progressed enormonsly from the days when word processing represented the apex of efficiency and antomation in this arena. Special considerations for more sophisticated docnment types are given in Table 4.1. In some instances it is recommended that the docnment type should be stored with or within the docnment to make ongoing docnment maintenance easier. This also applies to some types of embedded docnments.

A computer program that allows you to type your information, change it as many times as you need to, and then print it out is called a word processing program. Word processing programs also can be used to make tables. 

Select the flowsheet by dragging the mouse from the upper-left comer to the lower-right comer. Copy the flowsheet and paste it into the application. You can also use the Print Screen key and then go to your word processing program and paste it. Use the Picture/ Crop function to select the portion of the diagram that you want displayed. The best way to capture the Stream Table is to select the entire table and paste it into Excel. This is done from the Results/Summary/Stream option. 

Users find lists and tables easy to understand because of the mental checldist they promote. Maintain parallel construction when writing hsts. Lists also provide an opportunity to use tables in the procedure. Many word-processing programs make it easy to create a table for grouping information into columns with headings. A column for signoffs or data collection can easily be added to a table. 

In searching for a polymer in this table, note that the sorter of the word processing software used in its generation sorts all characters (and not just letters) in a particular order. A parenthesis precedes a square bracket, a square bracket precedes a number, the numbers are ordered in an ascending sequence, and letters are ordered in the usual alphabetical order after numbers so that the following "alphabetical" order is used (, [, 1,2,...,8,9,10,1 l,...,a,b,...,y,z. 

Using microcomputers and word processing packages - these can be used to prepare high-quality versions of tables for project work (p. 313).

In some word processing and spreadsheet software, the default for numbers in table cells is centered. If this is the case, one must override the default and line up the numbers in a column by their decimal points. Only then can the readers easily compare the numbers or sum them Also, the default format may be to include many significant digits. One must be careful to include only those digits that are, in fact, significant. Otherwise, either the readers will be misled about the precision of your answers, or they will discount your answers if they realize that you have exaggerated their precision.

The procedure for a HAZOP study is to apply a numher of guide words to various sections of the process design intention. The design intention informs what the process is expected to caiTy out. A process lean stream and an external MSA are considered for removing H2S. The process lean stream, S1, is a caustic soda solution which can be used as a solvent for the reactive separation of H2S. An added bonus for using the process MSA is the conversion of a portion of the absorbed H2S into Na2S, which is needed for white-liquor makeup. In other words, H2S pollutant is converted into a valuable chemical which is needed in the process. The external MSA, S2, is a polym ic adsorbent.
