The allele frequency of TSER 2 ranged between 0.38-0.53 in Caucasian and African populations (Table 24.3) [82, 83]. However, Chinese and Filipino populations had a lower frequency of the TSER 2 allele (0.18 and 0.14, respectively) (Table 24.3).
