Storage, persistent local

In the embedding approach the ERP system is enhanced with subordinate planning systems that are integrated into the user interface of the ERP system and create a local temporary data storage (LiveCache). All data is still held persistently only in the ERP system (Fig. 12.3). This allows for the LiveCache to use a projection of the ERP data model that is more suitable for APS purposes. This approach is used, e.g., by the software product OR Soft SCHEDULE++. [Pg.265]

Thus the alternative approach is to create enhancements (add-ons) to an ERP system that do not have their own persistent database and provide additional interactive functions, visualization and algorithmic processing of enhanced model data. The add-ons create a temporary local data storage (LiveCache) to effectively process the enhanced data. However, all data is stored persistently exclusively in the ERP system. This allows for the local LiveCache to use a mapping of the ERP data model that is structured in a way that is more suitable for APS purposes. Additionally the... [Pg.274]

Components often use persistent storage although objects in an 00 programming language always have local state, they typically work only within main memory, and persistence is dealt with separately. [Pg.415]

Prior to entry into the area, intelligence assets shall provide the NATO operational and local commanders with suspected areas that contain TICs. The intelligence community shall endeavor to obtain all pertinent information involving production and storage facilities of TICs. At a minimum the type of TICs and quantities at each location shall be provided to the Commander. Additionally, there is a need for Commanders to be informed on the specific risk (fire, explosion, toxicity, corrosive effects, and persistency of gas) as well as the efficiency of collective and individual protection systems. Intelligence assets should query the appropriate scientific, civilian industrial and chemical warfare treaty experts in order to gather all applicable information. When possible, local industrial site survey forms shall be obtained for all identified sites. [Pg.195]

Nowadays the soil pollution with persistent organochlorine compounds in Bulgaria is mostly because of their use in the past, result of local environmental accidents, associated with improper storage or illegal use of obsolete pesticide stocks. [Pg.185]

There are two principal ways to provide persistent storage in a parallel computer each node may have its own local disk, or a common storage device may be shared by all nodes and accessed via a network. The nodes in a parallel... [Pg.35]

However, lead inputs to a more localized atmosphere can occur by reentrainment of lead from depositional sites such as roadway soils and dusts to the contiguous atmosphere. Other sources of reentrained dust lead are fugitive dusts mobilized from point source waste storage or persisting surface contamination. The long half-life of lead in these media assures that resuspended lead levels in the atmosphere will pose exposure problems for future decades. [Pg.96]
