Subordinate planning systems

In the embedding approach the ERP system is enhanced with subordinate planning systems that are integrated into the user interface of the ERP system and create a local temporary data storage (LiveCache). All data is still held persistently only in the ERP system (Fig. 12.3). This allows for the LiveCache to use a projection of the ERP data model that is more suitable for APS purposes. This approach is used, e.g., by the software product OR Soft SCHEDULE++. 

The embedding approach may require an improvement of modeling in the ERP system (i.e., to maintain additional detailed information for APS purposes) but it can utilize all established business processes, data models and infrastructures. The scope and boundaries of the site/area/systems being validated should be defined as appropriate. The National Air Quality Network, subordinated to MWFEP, is one of the subsystems of the National Environmental Monitoring System. It is developed according to the Master Plan elaborated within the PHARE Programme.

In a dictatorship system, the boss has the power to fire and subordinates arc quite cognizant of this power. Consequently, subordinates know they have entirely too much to lose— money, health insurance, security, self-respect, image in the community, children s education, future plans, etc., to buck the system. Another reason Dhruve raises for not tattling on the boss is that complaining about your boss makes you a victim. Implicit in victimhood is lack of toughness can t cut it in the business world.
