Steering committee subcommittees

The next step in the development of a risk management program is to set up an organization. This is often done through use of a steering committee, subcommittees, and a risk/process safety management (PSM) coordinator, as shown in Figure 17.1. [Pg.691]

The Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), a directorate of AIChE, was established in 1985 to develop and disseminate technical information for use in the prevention of major chemical accidents. The CCPS is supported by a diverse group of industrial sponsors in the chemical process industry and related industries who provide the necessary funding and professional guidance for its projects. The CCPS Technical Steering Committee and the technical subcommittees oversee individual projects selected by CCPS. Professional representatives of the sponsoring companies staff the subcommittees, with a member of the CCPS staff coordinating the activities of the sub-committee. [Pg.226]

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) wishes to thank the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) and those involved in its operation, including its many sponsors, whose funding made this project possible the members of its Technical Steering Committee who conceived of and supported this Guidelines project and the members of its Human Reliability Subcommittee for their dedicated efforts, technical contributions, and enthusiasm. [Pg.410]

The Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) wishes to thank all the members of the Technical Management Subcommittee who provided guidance in the preparation of these materials. CCPS also wishes to express its appreciation to members of the Technical Steering Committee for their advice and support. [Pg.184]

The members of the CCPS Equipment Reliability Data Subcommittee wish to thank their employers for providing time to participate in this project those sponsors and members of the Technical Steering Committee who reviewed and critiqued this book prior to publication and those many companies in the chemical processing and allied industries that responded to the Subcommittee s survey of available process equipment reliability data. [Pg.284]

The Steering Committee has set up a subcommittee, the Global Cooperation Group (GCG). Its objective is to facilitate making information available on ICH, ICH activities and ICH guidelines to any country or company that requests the information . The co-Chairpersons of the GCG are Dr Elaine Esber, Associate Director for Medical and International Affairs, CBER, EDA, and Dr Bert Spiker, Senior Vice President for Scientific and Medical Affairs, PhRMA. [Pg.645]

Reporting to the steering committee are subcommittees, one for each of the major elements of the program. Each of these subcommittees will be responsible for the development of a detailed policy for their particular element of the standard within the overall company guidelines, and will also be responsible for ensuring that its element is properly implemented and maintained. [Pg.693]

Subjects for criticality safety standards may arise from any source in which a sufficient need is identified. In the past, topics for consideration have been suggested by members of ANS-8, ansi Subcommittee N16, the ANS Standards Steering Committee, criticality safety specialists, and others. To accomplish preparation of draft standards, ANS-8 utilizes work groups led by interested and dedicated group leaders. Because of direct sponsorship and support by the Nuclear Criticality Safety Division of ANS, a broad base of national and intemation criticality safety expertise is available to draw upon in accomplishing assigned tasks and developing consensus on each project... [Pg.750]
