Opening the manway may release ammonia fumes. Fuli face splash shield and goggles must be worn. [Pg.52]

Acetone Organic vapor canister or air-supplied respirator, synthetic rubber gloves, chemical safety goggles or face splash shield. Vapor irritating to eyes and mucous membranes acts as an anesthetic in very high concentrations. Wash with clean running water. Rush with water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician. [Pg.264]

Cyclohexane Hydrocarbon vapor canister, supplied-air or hose mask, hydrocarbon-insoluble rubber or plastic cloves, chemical goggles or face splash shield, hydrocarbon-insoluble rubber or plastic apron. Remove victim to fresh air if breathing stops, apply artificial respiration and administer oxygen. Remove contaminated clothing and gently flush affected areas with water for 15 minutes. Call a physician. Remove contaminated clothing and gently flush affected areas with water for 15 minutes. Call a physician. [Pg.308]

PERSONAL PROTECTION wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus chemical resistant gloves are recommended wear chemical goggles or face splash shield. [Pg.689]

In another recent development, postconsumer recycled PP is being used in the TPO underbody moldings of the 2009 Ford Flex vehicle. Supplier Flex-n-Gate supplies about 9 kg of the material per vehicle for use in splash shields, spoilers, and radiator air deflectors. The material must be compounded with additives to offer and Improve Its UV stability and Impact strength. However, because the recycled material s cost is not tied to raw petroleum prices, the supplier says that significant cost savings are possible, m comparison with virgm material. [Pg.210]

For a scheduled hazardous operation, such as sample collecting (see Hgure 12-3). In this case protective gloves, splash shield and other PPE might be required... [Pg.150]

Fender Liner and Splash Shields PP is also the material of choice for fender liners and splash shields. The material is light weight and can be molded into a variety of shapes in different colors. Recycled PP can be used in many of these... [Pg.743]

The design of a tire with its several component materials yields its unique performance characteristics. It also makes the tire a particularly challenging product to recycle. The recycling infrastructure has developed technologies to grind tires and separate the materials in them. There are several markets for end-of-Ufe tires. Some ground tire rubber finds its way back into automotive parts such as splash shields and brake pedal pads. A list of scrap tire markets is given in Table 17.5 [12],... [Pg.744]

Glass reinforced PA is used to protect brake discs, in the form of stone and splash shields. More significantly, both PA and reinforced PBT have been used for the housings of brake servo mechanisms. Small quantities of more exotic plastics are used in sophisticated ABS systems e.g., injection mouldable fluoropolymers for brake pad sensor housings, and PEEK for carbon brush holders. [Pg.145]

Automotive applications include stone and splash shields, clips, fasteners, fuel doors and gears. Material is also used in appliances, business machines and other consumer products such as housings, guards, handles, clips and fasteners, casters, wheels and rollers, pulleys and gears. [Pg.43]

ETA 5061,5081,313 IE - medium modulus, excellent low temperature performance, flexible, highest heat oxidative stability (automotive applications blow molded air ducts, HVAC in-take/exhaust ducts, engine intake ducts, extruded rubberstrips and splash shields non-automotive roofing)... [Pg.66]
