Another example of the importance of the work force to JIT is the need to cross-train workers. Cross-training is when workers are trained to do more than one job. A cross-trained worker can help someone at the next workstation if that worker falls behind and a cross-trained worker understands what the quality requirements are of those processes that the worker is feeding. A cross-trained work force is flexible. It is possible for the workers to move to where they are needed and to respond on short notice. Job rotation is one method companies use to ensure that workers retain their training skills. A firm may set up a job rotation system where an employee routinely rotates between 3 different jobs to ensure that his/her skills remain sharp. 

The number of unsaturated bonds can be determined by a titration with a standard solution of bromine dissolved in glacial acetic acid. The sample is also dissolved in glacial acetic acid to which sodium and ammonium acetate are added, so as to give a final concentration of 0-5 and OT M respectively. The main biomass crops are Short Rotation Coppice (mainly willow) and Miscanthus grown for pellets, billets or chips for use mainly in co-fired power stations where they are burnt with coal, or in domestic or community heating systems. Crop wastes such as straw can be burnt in on-farm boilers to provide heating for grain drying.
