Science general methodology

If we use the practical experience of Western man with d-ASCs as a guide, the development of state-specific sciences will be beset by a number of difficulties. These difficulties will be of two kinds general methodological problems stemming from the inherent nature of some d-ASCs, and those concerned with personal perils to the investigator.

All main aspects of analytical and bioanalytical sciences is covered by the conference program. AC CA-05 consists of 12 invited lectures and seven symposia General Aspects of Analytical Chemistry, Analytical Methods, Objects of the Analysis,. Sensors and Tests, Separation and Pre-concentration, Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, History and Methodology of Analytical Chemistry. Conference program includes two special symposia Memorial one, dedicated to Anatoly Babko and Analytical Russian-Germany-Ukrainian symposium (ARGUS-9). 

In conclusion, NMR methodologies have already proven successful within meat science with applications in many different areas. However, many unexplored areas still exist where the potential of NMR can be expected to reveal useful and valuable information. The inspiration that can be obtained from NMR studies within other disciplines, e.g., medical areas, material science, physical/chemical sciences and food science in general, should be rewarded with great attention in future in order to continue development of the use of NMR in meat science. 

A broadly accepted definition of process analytics is difficult to capture as the scope of the methodology has increased significantly over the course of its development. What was once a subcategory of analytical chemistry or measurement science has developed into a much broader system for process understanding and control. Modern science is very different from the descriptions of early systems of thought. Early philosophers and theorists lacked the objective methodologies and rational investigative processes required for the controlled experiments that led to modern science. They were more concerned with seeking universal cures for sickness, transmutation of base metals into gold, and mysticism in general. Most, but not all, ancient philosophers depended more on the written words of experts than on their own observations and insights. 

The theoretical and methodological aspects of conformational analysis of macromolecular chains in the disordered state were discussed by Flory in his classic book (155, 187). The literature on the subject includes a large number of books and reviews (37, 39, 188-190) extensive discussions may also be found in general textbooks of macromolecular science (9, 12, 13, 191). 

Danilo Corradini is research director at the Institute of Chemical Methodologies of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and a member of the General Scientific Advisory Board of CNR. His involvement in separation science started in 1976 with his research work on chromatography and electrophoresis for his PhD studies in chemistry, which was carried out at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, under the direction of Michael Lederer, founder and first editor of the Journal of Chromatography. In 1983-1984, he worked with Csaba Horvath, the pioneer of HPLC, at the Department of Chemical Engineering at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, where he initiated his first investigations on the HPLC of proteins and peptides, which he continued at the Institute of Chromatography of CNR after he returned to Italy.
