Report distribution

The breathing rate data used to define the BR variable were adapted from the reported distribution generated from Shamoo et al.3 In the Shamoo study, a different distribution was identified for several activity patterns, and for this simulation the slow, medium, and fast rate classifications were combined. The distribution is shown in Figure 3. 

As a result of the well-documented environmental concerns posed by coal combustion, and the disposal of CCPs, a large body of research has focused on characterizing the mechanisms of mobilization and attenuation of trace elements in coal and its ash. Based on their reported distribution in the solid phases of both source coals and coal ash, knowledge of the thermal transformations that occur to major mineral constituents during coal combustion, and a limited number of studies that have identified discrete solid phases of trace elements, a conceptual model of the chemical and mineralogical characteristics of trace elements in coal ash has been developed.

Peak Broadening. The peaks obtained by the procedure outlined above can be broadened beyond the true distribution by two things. First, the use of too few assumed particle sizes for the inversion will obviously cause the reported distribution to be broader than it should be. This problem is resolved by choosing a larger number of assumed sizes. (We typically choose twenty particle diameters for each inversion.) The importance of relative TAG concentration and total lipid in the distribution of POP amongst tissues is further demonstrated in the Jorgensen et al.60 study in which lean and fat Arctic charr were produced by two different dietary regiments. This study reports distribution differences in a relatively artificial situation (fish were either fed or starved prior to POP exposure), so that it addresses neither active starvation nor interspecies differences since the lean and fatty fish were produced from the same species. Distribution of phosphorothioate oligonucleotides from blood after absorption or i.v. administration is extremely rapid. We have reported distribution half-lives of less than 1 h, and similar data have been reported by others (174,198, 200, 203). Blood and plasma clearance is multiexponential, with a terminal elimination half-life from 40 to 60 h in all species exoql humans, where the terminal elimination half-life may be somewhat longer (201).

Retardation Factor. Reported distribution coefficients for aldicarb range from 0.16 - 0.073 ml/gm (20), or are effectively equal to zero, suggesting that aldicarb moves at the same speed as the groundwater. In order to eliminate the distribution coefficient as a variable subject to sensitivity analysis, it was set equal to zero for all simulations. A distribution coefficient of zero is equal to a retardation factor of one. 

RT-PCR analysis of mRNA from various tissue sources indicates that the full-sized 8-subunit is expressed only in brain (Schworer et al., 1993). Therefore, the reported distribution of the 8-subunit mRNA in peripheral tissues reflects the differential distribution of the smaller 82, 83 and 84 variants. For example, the RT-PCR analysis indicates that aortic smooth muscle expresses 82 and 83, cardiomyocytes primarily 83, and skeletal muscle the 84-isoforms (Schworer et al., 1993).

Data access will replace traditional forms of reporting. Companies will employ complex, multifaceted, client/server report-processing environments that include intelUgent report viewers, tiered report processors, flexible report schedulers, report distribution schemes, user flexibility, and administration tmd control mechanisms. Content agents that allow users to customize their reports and receive data in real time will support these databases. 

As distinct from distributors, suppUers also have a global presence. Sigma-Aldrich for example has over 7,900 employees in 37 countries and reported distribution of its total sales as 43 percent in Europe, 35 percent in the United States, and 20 percent in Canada, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America combined.There are also confirmed reports that Sigma-Aldrich chemicals have reached Morocco, possibly through resellers.
