The recombinase is the A integrase (or INT protein). Integration and excision use different attachment sites and different auxiliary proteins. Excision uses the proteins XIS, encoded by the bacteriophage, and FIS, encoded by the bacterium. Both reactions require the protein IHF (/integration host /actor), encoded by the bacterium.

Membranes contain proteins that merely bind to their surface (peripheral proteins) and those that are embedded in the lipid matrix (integral proteins). Integral membrane proteins contain transmembrane a-helices.

As a consequence of the discussion on the efficiency of conventional primary recovery of proteins, integrative operations, which on one hand simplify solid-liquid separation and on the other hand combine originally independent steps to new unit operations, seem to meet the criteria for possible improvements. 

The conformation of proteins integrated into a membrane depends not only on the type and sequence of the amino adds but also on the lipid environment, i.e. the composition of the membrane. The effect of lipid environments and external factors such... 

A virtually interference-free and reagentless approach is immobilizing the redox enzyme on a suitable electrode surface in such a way that the protein-integrated redox site can directly exchange electrons with the electrode (enzymes with direct electron transfer contact). 

However, it is already clear that the mechanisms responsible for membrane protein integration into the ER membrane and the inner bacterial membrane do place certain constraints on the allowable structures...
