Review Policy The review policy should estabhsh when project safety reviews should be done. All capital projects, large or small, should have one or more safety reviews during the course of the project. The number and types of review shoiild be stated in a management policy. Any reasons for exceptions to the policy should oe documented as well. The policy should address not only projects internal to a company, but also any joint ventures or turnkey projects by outside firms. 

Process improvements. Measure progress against previously identified goals. For example, if completing capital project safety reviews within two weeks of submittal was a facility s objective, is this now being achieved ... 

Involves a detail review of planning, design, procurement, fabrication, and installation functions to achieve the best overall project safety performance, lowest CAPEX, and the shortest reasonable schedule... 

For FTIH trials, all applications should include a summary of projected free plasma concentrations of the new active substance (NAS) in humans and a brief description of any pharmacokinetic modelling programs used to generate the estimates. A comparison with the concentrations obtained in the nonclinical toxicity studies and projected safety margins should be given. In the same section, an estimate of the extent of the intended pharmacological or pharmacodynamic response at the expected plasma concentrations should be included, with a list of the assumptions used in deriving that estimate. 

If a required team member is not available, the project manager shall determine with the concurrence of the project safety representative, if the review can be adequately accomplished without the designated member. In such cases, a substitute individual from the supplemental member list below, should usually be provided in his place. A review should not be undertaken if an operations representative or his delegate is unavailable.

Data may be organized by type of data, such as adverse events, laboratory data, demography, physical exam, etc. Since many of these categories of data exist across clinical trials, standard file structures can be designed and implemented. This standardization allows for the reuse of validated software as well as facilitates the pooling of data across studies for use in project safety summaries and other data reporting across studies.

Due to the comprehensive and technology of safety audit project, safety auditors should also use cost-benefit analysis and economic evaluation of safety and other methods.
