Print through

When convective heating is used it is important to localize the heating channels on an appropriate distance from the tool surface. The part can be damaged by print-through if the distance between the surface and the channels is too small. The surface temperature may vary and give rise to unacceptable cure variations if the distance is too large. As a rule of thumb the distance to the surface in mass cast tools from aluminum-filled methacrylic resin should be... [Pg.384]

NOTE 1 If the whites in the print stain, add a few drops of ammonia to the working solution. If this does not help, pass the prints through one or more baths of 1% sodium sulfite. [Pg.295]

As a general rule, the voucher agency should receive a copy of all forms. Service providers will probably wish to keep a copy of the form for their records. Sometimes diagnostic service providers will require copies of at least parts of the clinic record. Multiple copies of forms can be produced cheaply using NCR (no carbon required) paper that prints through to the sheet below with the pressure of a pen. [Pg.70]

The GageTalker Corporation (formerly Observational Systems) markets the OS-3 Plus Event Recorder. This versatQe recorder is useful for setting and updating standard times, machine downtime studies, and work sampling. The device allows the analyst to select the time units appropriate for the study—0.001 min, 0.0001 hr, or 0.1 sec. The total time, frequency, mean times, performance ratings, normal times, allowances, standard times, and pieces per hour may be printed through printer interface devices. In addition, the standard deviation, the maximum and minimum element values and frequencies are also available. [Pg.1414]

Resins based on dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) offer better wettability of fillers and better prevention of print-through than conventional unsaturated polyesters, making them particularly suitable for appearance parts in transportation and marine applications. Polyesters based on DCPD require special chemical competence on the part of the fabricator, but... [Pg.142]

During the twentieth century, the majority of textiles came to be printed by screen-based processes. Silk-screen printing was patented in England in 1907 (Simon, 1907), although techniques such as katazome or resist printing through paper... [Pg.23]

The resins are used primarily in the fiber-reinforced form as laminates, castings, and coatings (54,55). Glass fiber is one of the common fillers for the reinforcement. Because of the low viscosity of the resin, the DCPD-based sheet molding compounds can incorporate a greater amoimt of the low cost fillers. The low print-through of the fillers makes the DCPD-based resins ideal for applications in which aesthetic effects are important. These include marine applications (recreation boats, jet ski), automotive parts, safety helmets, bathroom counter tops, shower stalls, and tubs. In the nonreinforced form, the resins have been used as insulation coating for electrical coils (56,57). [Pg.2076]

The typical range of minimum trace widths, trace separations, printed through hole diameters, and maximum aspect ratios are shown in Table 11.2. The board cost for minimum widths, spacings, and PTH diameters, and small tolerances for the pad placements is high and reliability maybe less. [Pg.1264]

Optical media is perhaps the most stable digital storage technology magnetic drives are prone to head crashes, tape deteriorates or suffers from print through (in which information on one layer is transferred to another layer in the tightly wound tape coil), and paper or microfiche also deteriorate with time (Rothenberg, 1995). [Pg.1604]
