Digital storage

The CD-I (compact disk-interactive) is a low cost alternative to the CD-ROM for the entertainment industry. CD-I is a subset of the CD-ROM standard data format. It allows the digital storage of data, audio, and video information in a form that permits rapid interaction with a computer. CD-I is compatible to CD-ROM and to CD-AD 0 = 120 mm. The definition of the CD-I format is put down in the Green Book (Philips/Sony). 

Several all-in-one tablet testers are currently available that measure weight, thickness, diameter, and hardness of tablets. In addition these instruments provide digital storage and calculation of statistical parameters and allow for rapid feedback during the tableting process so that the tableting equipment can be adjusted accordingly with minimal downtime. ... 

Digital storage and retrieval of chemical information is found in the nucleic adds where the basic digital operation is a two state 2/3 process (2 versus 3 hydrogen bonds in A T and G C base pairs respectively) corresponding to the usual 0/1 commutation of electronic computers. It may also be envisaged for multisite receptors or multiredox systems possessing distinct states of site occupation or of oxidation.

The electrode configuration was stressed with a voltage impulse of nearly a sine-half-wave shape. This waveform was used to avoid thermal influence on the pollution layer that would occur on a permanently stressed sample. The leakage current was measured by a digital storage oscilloscope.
