Preliminary conclusions

1 show that employing lead users can be an effective way of accessing user need knowiedge for innovation. Companies can benefit from embedded iead users use expertise and technical expertise, their strong innovative behavior, and their special ability to span internal boundaries. The proximity of embedded lead users roles to the product domain increases their effectiveness. There are also reasons to believe that the concurrency of user activities and firm empioyment are crucial for success. All of this suggests that firms may want to encourage employees use-related activities. 

Managers need to be aware that some behaviors are influenced more favorably by employees lead userness than others. Understanding embedded lead users hybrid motivations as well as potential role conflicts is key to determine their optimal deployment in the innovation process.

An extruder is a complicated device to control. Often the barrel is divided into three sections, and the temperature at the exit of each section determines the additional amount of electrical energy to be supplied. Most of the energy for heating is provided by the screw. The throughput is usually set by the rate at which the screw rotates, and is maintained constant. Work is currently being done on the effect of extruder operating conditions on product quality. Preliminary conclusions indicate that conditions should be kept as constant as possible if reproducible results are desired. 

Two examples are certainly not sufficient for validating a model. However, some preliminary conclusions can already be drawn ...

Also of interest is the observation that lower connectivities for titanium in these building block matrices lead to a significant reduction in epoxidation TONs. The feasibility exercise should include preparation of a concentrated (stock) solution as well as diluted standard solutions of various concentrations and establishing a first calibration curve.
