Plotting with Excel

Today s spreadsheets offer many choices when it comes to creating charts. You can create column charts (or histograms), pie charts, line charts, or xy charts. As an et fneering student, and later as a practicing engineer, most of the charts that you will create wiU be of type charts. Therefore, next we will explain in detail how to create an oy chart [Pg.389]

Excel offers Chart Wizard, which is a series of dialc e boxes that walks you through the necessary steps to create a chart To create a chart using the Excel Chart Wbtaid, follow the procedure explained here. [Pg.389]

First we will select the data range as shown. [Pg.390]

Next dick the Chart Wizard icon from the toolbar buttons and sdect the XY chart type. Also select the Chart sub-type, as shown. Click the Next button. [Pg.390]

Micropropagated raspberry is less tolerant to simazine, probably because of the shallow roots picking up more herbicide than the deeper rooting cuttings (Neal et al, 1990). When simazine was used in a New York study, weed control was excellent. Global SOO and MOO optimization methods, particularly recent ones, have been implemented and are readily available in Excel, MATLAB, C-i-i-, FORTRAN, and so on (Table 4.1).
