Plate guidance

This requirement was addressed above but note that the marking has to be permanent and therefore has to be durable under the anticipated conditions of use. It would be wise to seek guidance from the customer if you are in any doubt as to where to place the marking or how to apply it. Metal identification plates stamped with the customer s identity, date of supply, contract, and limitations of use are durable and permanent.

The local heating, and consequent expansion, that occurs during welding can leave the joint in a state of stress. These stresses are relieved by post-welding heat treatment. Not all vessels will be stress relieved. Guidance on the need for post-welding heat treatment is given in the codes and standards, and will depend on the service and conditions, materials of construction, and plate thickness. 

As the following discussion will show, implementation of source reduction, whatever is included in its definition, involves site-specific testing of possibilities which are often nothing more than good ideas. This chicken-and-egg dilemma is most obvious in the literature available to plating plant operators, where documentation is often limited to obvious successes and guidance to "try it, you ll like it "... 

Each fuel assembly that makes up the core rests on an orificed fuel support mounted on top of the control rod guide tubes. Each guide tube, with its fuel support piece, bears the weight of fuur assemblies and is supported by a control rod drive penetration nozzle in the bottom head of the reactor vessel. The core plate provides lateral guidance at the top of each control rod guide tube. The top guide provides lateral support for the top of each fuel assembly. 

Later, the same fabrication and interconnection process was used with an interdigital design, being more adapted to the basic elements, flat plates [20,124]. Instead of having a complex 3-D channel guidance, the flows always follow the plate horizontally and only change from one plate to another at certain location. 

It should be noted that the tests and specifications listed in Table 7 are provided for guidance and should be set for each individual method based on its application and performance. For example, there may be no resolution requirement for an HPLC dissolution assay. For the same method, it may also be impractical to set the injector repeatability requirement at an RSD of < 1% if the peak response for the API is very small. Again, in the same example it is also impractical to require a check standard to be within 1% of the working standard if the RSD requirement for replicate analyses of the working standard is <2 %. Some ion exchange columns may not provide plate counts of > 2000 or tailing factors of < 2. 

Under Roscoe Dickinson s guidance, Pauling learned how to use the finicky and complicated X-ray instrument, how to grow his own crystals, how to cut and polish them at specific angles, place them carefully in the apparatus, capture the X-ray diffraction patterns on photographic plates, measure the intensity and position of each important point, and analyze the patterns mathematically to see what they said about the atomic structure.

As discussed in Section 5.6, the Schwann cell columns generally constrain the growth of regenerating axons. Axons ordinarily have little freedom but to return to their original end-plates, irrespective of the muscle basal lamina. This would be true of motor axons, which use the empty Schwann cell columns for guidance back to their former end-plates (Hoffman, 1950). On the other hand, terminal sprouts also appear to prefer original end-plate sites, despite the absence of Schwann cell columns for guidance. This phenomenon may have other explanations (see below). 

The floor plate, which develops along the midline of the vental surface of the neural tube, is the source of Sonic hedgehog, " netrin-1, and other secreted molecules.Some of these participate in axon guidance by which the growing tips (growth cones) of axons are able to connect to the correct "targets.
