Example 1. A fine powder of poly(vinyl chloride) (10 g) and dioctylphthalate (10 g) are homogeneously mixed and cyclohexanone (30 ml) added to the plasticized poly(vinyl chloride). The mixture is heated to about 60 °C until it becomes transparent.
