Personnel Organizational culture

Organizational culture refers to the basic values, norms, beliefs, and practices that characterize the functioning of an institution. At the most basic level, organizational culture defines the assumptions that employees make as they carry out their work. It is a powerful force that can persist through reorganizations and the change of key personnel. It can be a positive or a negative force. 

The organizational structure may change the strategy used to implement the JHA process. As part of the review of the organizational culture, how it organizes personnel, assigns responsibilities and authorities, and allocates resources must be assessed. 

For such an approach to be successful, it requires a good organizational safety culture and people participation and involvement. Small companies generally have a strong customer focus. When they are not, it s often because they have a culture left over from a previously downsized, much larger company.
