This is not always the case. Viagra stimulated a medical need that was not recognized prior to its introduction. Pharmaceutical companies try to stimulate patients and doctors to recognize some disorders as diverse as irritable bowel syndrome, social phobia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). 

Successful therapy, especially if it is long-term, comprises a great deal more than choosing a standard medicine. It involves patient and doctor compliance. The latter is liable to be overlooked (by doctors), for doctors prefer to dwell on the deficiencies of their patients rather than of themselves. 

The recent trends toward the use of lower doses of aspirin have been driven by the belief that these offer a better safety profile while retaining equivalent therapeutic efficacy. Despite the large number of patients enrolled in randomized clinical trials and included in meta-analyses, there is no firm evidence that dose reduction significantly lowers the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Patients and doctors therefore need to consider the trade-off between the benefits and harms of long-term treatment with aspirin. Meanwhile, it seems wise to use the lowest dose of proven efficacy. 

Reimbursement lists are not transpcirent to patients and doctors. In addition, these lists are time-consuming for pharmacists and are officially criticised by the doctors represented by the Polish Physician Cheimber. To control the expenditure on pharmaceuticals with tight reimbursement rules, the system of Medical Service Register is being proposed and in some regions of the country has begun to operate. 

Good ventilation prevents sweating, especially in hot climates sweat overhydrates the superficial layers of the epidermis, which can lower the concentration of the active products locally and increase skin permeability. Ventilation also creates drafts that will stop the phenol vapors from stagnating in the immediate vicinity of the patient and doctor. 

Though using phenol to do a superficial peel means both patient and doctor taking a pointless risk where less toxic agents are available (TCA, AHA, salicylic acid, etc.). Left-handers wfll understand that they must reverse the hands used.

Zeber and colleagues, in the October 2004 issue of the journal Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology, pointed out the problems. Darrel Regier, American Psychiatric Association, also agrees that cultural differences between patients and doctors can result in misdiagnosis.
