Packaged purification systems

Several complete packaged pnrification systems are available that take untreated compressed air and purify it to the highest air purity standards. Purification systems are available for both high and low pressure use. [Pg.449]

Nitto Denko Corporation primarily manufactures industrial adhesive tapes for the electronics, automotive, health care, packaging and construction industries. The company produces industrial, electronic and functional products. Industrial products include double-coated adhesive tapes, masking tapes surface protective materials, sealing materials and label printing systems. Electronics products include LCD-related items general and advanced device resins printed circuit boards and semiconductor package adhesive sheets. Functional products include medical items such as transdermal therapeutic patches polymer separation membranes used for water purification and treatment and plastic engineering products such as information equipment and porous film materials used in cars, electronics, and home appliances. Nitto Denko America, Inc., an optoelectronics subsidiary, manufactures semiconductor... [Pg.400]

Significant amounts of activated carbon are consumed in systems applied for purification of pharmaceuticals. The main application of the carbon here is separation of numerous antibiotics, vitamins, and steroids from fermentation broths by adsorption, usually followed by solvent extraction and distillation. Furthermore, activated carbons are used as purification media for other key phannaceutical chemicals as, for instance glycerin. The pharmaceutical industry often uses activated carbons for water purification process (usually in a combination with other purification technologies like deionization [149]) and for the thorough elimination of potential impurities from intravenous solutions prior to packaging [146]. [Pg.445]

A layout of a multipurpose plant is shown in Fig. 25.7. The wet section comprises three production trains, a distillation unit for solvent recovery or liquid product purification, and a scrubbing system for effluent gas. The dry section consists of a paddle dryer, a silo, a sieve, a mill, a mixer-homogenizer, and the filling and packaging station. [Pg.228]

The purification of combinatorial libraries on a Berger system is deseribed by Farrell et al. at Pfizer for their parallel solution-phase syntheses. The overall process employs as well analytical SFC in combination with mass spectrometry and nitrogen chemiluminescence deteetion off-line of the preparative-scale SFC systems. Pre-purification analytical SFC/ MS/CLND allows the triage of samples for purification, and an in-house software package analyzes data for predicted quality based on an evaluation of UV and MS data for the potential of co-eluting peaks during purification. This same software package selects a collection time window for purification, which is necessary to limit the number of fractions per sample. This system accommodates the purification of samples up to 50 mg... [Pg.285]

DZERZHINSK ( Nizhniy Novgorod Oblast). Here, on the shore of the Oka at what is now "Kaprolaktam", production of Levinstein yperite was set up in 1939, and continued until 1942 when the plant was converted to the production of Zaykov yperite, which was then produced until the end of the war. This same plant was involved in lewisite production in the war and post-war years. Purification of yperite-contaminated air was ineffective and such air spread over the densely-populated residential areas within a 5-7 km radius of the plant. In the years of intensive production of TC, effluents from the chemical plants passed to the Oka through a system of lakes [1]. Barrels used for packaging arsenic were buried directly on the territory of the plant. [Pg.21]

Actions for decrease in gas exhausts of flares in synthetic rubber production are developed. The device is developed for wet purification of the gas exhausts, confirmed high degree of purifieation both in laboratory, and in industrial conditions. The packaging scheme of gas purifying for synthetic rubber production is implanted. The complex of the made researches has formed the basis for designing of system of purification of air of industrial premises. Burning of gas exhausts on flares has allowed reducing pollution of air basin by toxic substances considerably. [Pg.138]
