Normality tests

This study permitted to compare products family, on the base of normalized tests all parameters maintained constant during tests. [Pg.625]

Caustic soda solutions are normally tested for general alkalinity and percentages of NaCl, Na2S04, and NaClO as weU as for Fe and Ni levels. The general methods are outlined in Table 22. Detailed analytical methodologies are available from the major caustic soda suppHers. [Pg.515]

Safety relief valves are normally tested in the shop, or even on the equipment at atmospheric temperature. The set tolerances on the valves as manufactured are established by die Code as discussed earlier. In order to recognize the difference between the test temperature and the actual operating temperature at actual relief, the corrections shown in Table 7-lA and 7-lB are applied. An increase in temperature above design causes a reduction in valve set pressure due to the effects of temperature on the spring and body. [Pg.426]

OS 10] [R 10] [P 9] The specific interfadal area was varied for a phase-transfer reaction for four amide formations from two amines and two acid chlorides [23[. This was done by filling the solutions in normal test-tubes of varying diameter (1-5 X cm ) and using a micro reactor which had the largest specific interface (45 X cm ). The yields of all foiu reactions are highly and similarly dependent on... [Pg.429]

After analysis of basic statistics and Shapiro-Wilk normality test, it was concluded that the data did not assure the normality conditions necessary to perform certain statistical analysis. To follow usual procedures the data were lognormalised and normality was tested by normal probability curves. [Pg.320]

Wet and dry pipe sprinklers are not functionally tests for coverage since design codes have eliminated problems with distribution patterns, provided the installation has been adequately inspected. The normal testing verifies adequate pressure is available, piping is not plugged and activation of alarms occurs. [Pg.258]

The influence of ZnCFO concentration (3,0 5,0 7,0 phr) on formation of properties complex of the unfilled rubber mixes and their vulcanizates on the basis of isoprene rubber of the following recipe, phr isoprene rubber - 100,0 sulfur - 1,0 di - (2-benzothiazolyl) -disulfide - 0,6 N, N -diphenylguanidine - 3,0 stearic acid - 1,0, was carried out in comparison with the known activator - zinc oxide (5,0 phr). The analysis of Rheometer data of sulfur vulcanization process of elastomeric compositions at 155°C (fig. 5) shows, that on crosslink density and cure rate, about what the constants of speed in the main period (k2) testify, they surpass the control composition with 5,0 phr of zinc oxide. Improvement of the complex of elastic - strong parameters of rubbers with ZnCFO as at normal test conditions, and after thermal air aging (tab. 1), probably, is caused by influence of the new activator on vulcanization network character. So, the percent part of polysulfide bonds (C-Sx-C) and amount of sulfur atoms appropriating to one crosslink (S atoms/crosslink) in vulcanizates with ZnCFO are decreased, the percent part of disulfide bonds (C-S2-C) is increased (fig. 62). [Pg.194]

Special Techniques The special techniques are usually applicable to a host of pharmaceutical substances before the normal test can be performed. A few typical examples would be discussed briefly here, namely ... [Pg.27]

Hi) Insoluble Substances These substances, as those that do not interfere with the solution of As and its subsequent reduction to AsH3 (arsine). Such substances are suspended in water along with stannated-HCl, and the normal test is performed. [Pg.28]

All other conditions being held constant, there appeared to be a minimum required mass of aluminum to cause an explosion, but an excess over this critical quantity did not lead to more damaging events. The critical mass was in the range of 4-5 kg for normal tests. [Pg.162]

Ruggedness (reproducibility) Degree of reproducibility of test results obtained by the analysis of the same sample under a variety of normal test conditions ... [Pg.228]

Some other sources have definitions that are different from the one given above [7,14]. The US Pharmacopeia [7] defines ruggedness as The ruggedness of an analytical method is the degree of reproducibility of test results obtained by the analysis of the same sample under a variety of normal test conditions, such as different laboratories, different analysts, different instruments, different lots of reagents, different elapsed assay times, different assay temperatures, different days, etc. Ruggedness is normally expressed as the lack of influence on test results of operational and environmental variables of the analytical method. Ruggedness is a measure of reproducibility of test results under normal, expected operational conditions from laboratory to laboratory and from analyst to analyst . In fact this is nearly the definition of reproducibility. This definition is also followed by other authors [15]. [Pg.84]

Document that the reservoir conforms to purchase specification and invoice. Verify and document that the vessel meets or exceeds the pressure rating (vacuum) specified in the purchase specifications. Perform vacuum hold tests on the tank and document. Acceptance ID tests will vary with the size of the system. A positive pressure test is often done in order to find leaks. Perform and document cleaning procedures used prior to placing the vessel in service. This completes the normal testing done on the tank prior to joining it to the vacuum system. [Pg.238]

Two samples ere taken from each of two lota of the material normally tested. Each sample is tested in duplicate by each of two analysts on three separate days. If a preparation of the sample is required prior to testing, such a preparation should be made by each analyst on each sample each day, and two determinations run on the same preparation. [Pg.94]
