A sample of 823 stars with abundances of several elements (Fe,0,Mg,Ti,Si, Na,Ni,Al) was compiled from several papers (Ref 1 to 10) after checking the lack significant differences between their results. The velocities (U,V,W) and orbital parameters were computed for 640 Hipparcos stars having <0.25, to make a large database combining kinematics and detailed abundances. Ages of 442 stars were retrieved from Nordstrom et al(2004). 

Several estimates of [Fe/H] are available in the literature from analysis of HR spectra (e.g. Cayrel, Soubiran Ralite, 2001) and from photometry calibrations. In this paper we use Taylor (1999, 2003) as primary sources of [Fe/H] but we complement them by using data from Montes et al. (1999), Valdes et al. (2004), and Nordstrom et al. (2004). Moreover, for stars not included in the above mentioned papers we derived [Fe/H] from Stromgren photometry by using... 

Figure 1 above) have shown there is a very small scatter in element ratios at any [Fe/H] value, particularly within a stellar population, yet there is an extremely large scatter in the age-[Fe/H] relation at every age (Nordstrom et al. 2004). Linking the local and global remains a challenge.
