Another most important contribution to the technical literature is the book, Official and Tentative Methods of the American Oil Chemists Society (I), which describes in great detail methods of sampling and methods of analysis which are approved by the society. This book is published in loose-leaf form, since additions and revisions are frequent. The society s committees on methods of analysis continue the never-ending job of trying to improve and simplify, the procedures.
