A very potent means of computation on computer chips of this scale would be to use them for quantum computing. Already in the microscopic world, and for a short time, multiple universes can occur for an event, and this promises an extraordinarily high degree of parallelism for extremely efficient computing. It unlikely to develop soon until a bottleneck problem called decoherence is overcome, in which these multiple universes collapse to one and give us the common sense world we see. With advances in quantum computing there will come smaller, more powerful computers and electronics that will allow appliances and other products to make intelligent decisions for us. But it is very difficult to establish a timeline 2010 2030 2050 ...

Variational methods - theoretically the variational approach offers the most powerful procedure for the generation of a computational grid subject to a multiplicity of constraints such as smoothness, uniformity, adaptivity, etc. which cannot be achieved using the simpler algebraic or differential techniques. ZINDO/S is an modified INDO method parameterized to reproduce UV visible spectroscopic transitions when used with the Cl singles methods. It was developed in the research group of Michael Zerner of the Quantum Theory Project at the University of Florida. As with the other semi-empirical methods, HyperChem s implementation of ZINDO/S is restricted to spin multiplicities of up to a quartet state. Higher spin systems may not be done using HyperChem. 

However, as given by group renormalization theory (45), the values of the universal exponents depend on the (thermodynamic) dimensionality of the system. For four dimensions (as required by the phase rule for the existence of tricritical points), the exponents have classical values. This means the values are multiples of 1/2. Mass Spectroscopy. A coUection of 125,000 spectra is maintained at Cornell University and is avaUable from John WUey Sons, Inc. (New York) on CD-ROM or magnetic tape.
