Model Integration Framework

The supply chain configuration problems relevant to a particular decisionmaking situation can be mapped to problem-solving methods defined in the taxonomy of the supply chain configuration methods. 

Supply chain management decision support system 

The conunon knowledge refers to industry standards and generally accepted supply chain management concepts. The common knowledge facilitates established mappings between concept definitions in repositories maintained by individual supply chain units, thus leading to easier establishment of the common repository used by the supply chain configuration system.

In the case study on integrator modeling (see Sect. 6.3, column (c) in Fig. 6.1) we find general specifications, either as a basic layer of the conceptual realization model in the form of graph transformation rules, or in a coded form as a part of the integrator framework. Specific models are introduced to represent link types, link templates, and rules of TGGs. Thereby, different forms of determinations for specific are introduced in one step. 

Based on these requirements, an early version of the integrator framework (cf. Subsect. 3.2.2) has been implemented [27, 251]. It was used to realize a first integrator tool between simulation models in Aspen Plus and process flow diagrams in Comos PT (cf. Subsect. 3.2.5). Innotec contributed the wrapper, connecting the framework to Comos PT, and evaluated early prototypes. The final prototypes of the framework and the integrator were limited in functionality and could not easily be adapted to integrate other documents. Nevertheless, they served as proof of concept for our integration approach.

Bass and Avolio (1994) propose an integrative framework that includes transformational, transactional, and nontransactional leadership. According to Bass and AvoUo s fuU range leadership model, leadership behaviors form a continuum in terms of activity and effectiveness. Transformational leadership behaviors are at the higher end of the range and are described as more active-proactive and effective than either transactional or nontransactional leadership. Transformational leadership includes four components.

Process reference models integrate the well-known concepts of business process reengineering, benchmarking, and process measurement into a cross-functional framework. 

Models such as the MFA interact well with a mass-integration framework. The MFA model provides the data needed for mass integration (e.g., flows, concentrations of sources and sinks, impact of a change in input on the output characteristics, etc.).
