California list Created by the state of California this list is used to determine those wastes that are restricted from land disposal. The list was incorporated by RCRA. 

Skinner list Created by John Skinner of the EPA Office of Solid Waste a list of those compounds most often found in petroleum refining wastes. 

The above list created on the basis of experimental findings and products development shows importance of plasticizers for the properties of materials manufactured from PVC. These effects are discussed in many parts of this book and their importance for some groups of products are discussed in Chapter 13. The above list may be frequently consulted to evaluate potential changes in material caused by plasticizer addition (also in the case of other polymers). 

To illustrate this definition of context, consider the example in Fig. 4. A hazard list must be the hazard list created for the system in question because the ordinary meaning of the words all credible hazards is that they are hazards of the system in question. The hazard list must also be complete and correct because inference DIP. SI would be invalid if supporting goals DIP.G2-DIP.G6 did not accurately portray all relevant hazards. The hazard list can be assumed to have these properties throughout the argument supporting goals DIP.G2-DIP.G6.

Many basis sets are just identihed by the author s surname and the number of primitive functions. Some examples of this are the Huzinaga, Dunning, and Duijneveldt basis sets. For example, D95 and D95V are basis sets created by Dunning with nine s primitives and hve p primitives. The V implies one particular contraction scheme for the valence orbitals. Another example would be a basis set listed as Duijneveldt 13s8p . 

The contracted basis set created from the procedure above is listed in Figure 28.3. Note that the contraction coefficients are not normalized. This is not usually a problem since nearly all software packages will renormalize the coefficients automatically. The atom calculation rerun with contracted orbitals is expected to run much faster and have a slightly higher energy. 

The program uses two ASCII input files for the SCF and properties stages of the calculation. There is a text output file as well as a number of binary or ASCII data files that can be created. The geometry is entered in fractional coordinates for periodic dimensions and Cartesian coordinates for nonperiodic dimensions. The user must specify the symmetry of the system. The input geometry must be oriented according to the symmetry axes and only the symmetry-unique atoms are listed. Some aspects of the input are cumbersome, such as the basis set specification. However, the input format is documented in detail. 

With the passage of the Medical Device Amendments of 1976 (PubHc Law 94-295) Congress created a new category of color additive by mandating the separate listing of colorants for use in medical devices if the color additive in them comes in dkect contact with the body for a significant period of time. 

Building the initial list of candidates for tolling outside the client company s home borders can create some unique problems in regard to their fair assessment. The list may include several good candidate companies that may unfortunately each be located in a different country or region. Each of them may be capable of meeting the distribution or marketing need that initially drove the international toll project. 

Step 1 of the parametrization process is the selection of the appropriate model compounds. In the case of small molecules, such as compounds of pharmaceutical interest, the model compound may be the desired molecule itself. In other cases it is desirable to select several small model compounds that can then be connected to create the final, desired molecule. Model compounds should be selected for which adequate experimental data exist, as listed in Table 1. Since in almost all cases QM data can be substimted when experimental data are absent (see comments on the use of QM data, above), the model compounds should be of a size that is accessible to QM calculations using a level of theory no lower than HE/6-31G. This ensures that geometries, vibrational spectra, conformational energetics, and model compound-water interaction energies can all be performed at a level of theory such that the data obtained are of high enough quality to accurately replace and...

Table 3 lists the selected properties [16] that we have measured for several commercially available acrylate resins manufactured by the Sartomer Company and the Rohm and Haas Company. The resins were cured in an AECL Gammacell Model 240. The temperature rise was measured for an 8-g sample using Acsion s (formerly AECL Radiation Applications Branch) Gamma Calorimetry method [17]. All of this information is being used to evaluate the applicability of EB-cured acrylate adhesives for repairing composite structures. Combinations of these adhesives can be used to create electron-curable adhesives suitable for composite repair.

Create staff lists that indicate competency to perform tasks and use techniques within a job. 

Work instructions are identified in a Note to clause 4.2.2 of ISO 9001 and in clause 4.9.2 in ISO/TS 16949 where it states that job instructions are equivalent to work instructions. In ISO 9001 it implies that work instructions define how an activity is performed but in ISO 8402 1994 a procedure is defined as a specified way to perform an activity. There isn t enough difference between these two definitions to warrant a change in the term and its inclusion may well create much confusion, especially as ISO 9004-1 does not refer to work instructions or any other type of instructions. The list of topics that should be addressed by job instructions in clause 4.9.2 of ISO/TS 16949 certainly does not by itself imply that job instructions define how an activity is performed ...

The term quality activities is not defined in ISO 8402 and while it may seem obvious it can create confusion. If we list all the activities which can affect quality, we could say that these are all quality activities. But many of these are also design, purchasing, manufacturing, and installing activities. Can they also be quality activities Quality activities are not restricted to the activities of the quality department or other similar departments. The only clue in the standard as to what quality activities are is in clause 4.1.2.1 where it requires the responsibility of all personnel who manage, perform, and verify work affecting quality to be defined. So a quality activity is any activity that affects the ability of a product or service to satisfy stated or implied needs. 

Lithium-ammonia reductions of most steroidal enones of interest create one or two new asymmetric centers. Such reductions are found to be highly stereoselective and this stereoselectivity constitutes the great utility of the reaction. For conjugated enones of the normal steroid series, the thermodynamically most stable products are formed predominantly and perhaps exclusively. Thus the following configurations are favored 5a, 8/ , 9a, and in certain cases 14a (see page 35).
