The first line contains the number of ionizable sites, M. Subsequent lines are organized in blocks whose first line contains information about the group... 

This record can appear only once in a file and it may occupy more than one line. The second and subsequent lines contain a continuation field, which is a right-justified integer followed by a blank character. This number is incremented by one for each additional line of the record. Several records belong to this categoi y, e.g., AUTHOR (contains names of the people responsible for the contents of the flic), KEYWDS (contains a list of keywords describing the macromolcculc),... 

The remainder of the input file gives the basis set. The line, 1 0, specifies the atom center 1 (the only atom in this case) and is terminated by 0. The next line contains a shell type, S for the Is orbital, tells the system that there is 1 primitive Gaussian, and gives the scale factor as 1.0 (unsealed). The next line gives Y = 0.282942 for the Gaussian function and a contiaction coefficient. This is the value of Y, the Gaussian exponential parameter that we found in Computer Project 6-1, Part B. [The precise value for y comes from the closed solution for this problem S/Oir (McWeeny, 1979).] There is only one function, so the contiaction coefficient is 1.0. The line of asterisks tells the system that the input is complete. 

Specifications, Shipping, and Analysis. Hydrogen fluoride is shipped in bulk in tank cars (specification 112S400W) and tank tmcks (specification MC312). A small volume of overseas business is shipped in ISO tanks. Bulk shipments are made of anhydrous HF as well as 70% aqueous solutions. A small amount of aqueous solution may be shipped as 50%. Cars and tmcks used for anhydrous HF transport are of carbon steel constmction. It is possible to ship 70% aqueous in steel from a corrosion standpoint however, mbber lining is commonly used to eliminate iron pickup, which is detrimental to product quaUty in a number of appHcations. Hydrogen fluoride of less than 60% strength must always be shipped in lined containers. 

Rhenium hexafluoride [10049-17-9J, ReF, is a pale yeUow soHd at 0°C, but a Hquid at ambient temperature. In the presence of moisture it hydroly2es rapidly forming HF, Re02, and HRe04 (see Rheniumand rhenium compounds). It is not safe to store ReF in a glass trap or glass-lined container. Leaks in the system can initiate hydrolysis and produce HF. The pressure buildup causes the system to burst and an explosion may result. 

L-Ascorbic acid is screened or pulverized into a variety of particle sizes. It is usually packaged in 25-kg and 50-kg quantities in standard, polyethylene-lined containers, eg, fiber dmms, cormgated boxes, etc. The recommended storage conditions are low humidity and temperatures of <23 C.

Process lines 3 in (7.62 cm) and larger, containing material with a health or reactivity rating of two, three, or four, or a flammability rating of three or four. Lines containing materials with lower ratings can also be marked if desired.

If you are not convinced that all isolation valves should be backed up by slip-plates before maintenance takes place, at least back up valves on lines containing materials that might turn solid and then melt.

An old pipeline, no longer used, was marked with chalk at the point at which it was to be cut. Before the mechanic could start work, heavy rain washed off the chalk mark. The mechanic "remembered" where the chalk mark had been and he was found cutting his way with a hacksaw through a line containing a hazardous chemical. 

By convention, n must be greater than nn for a system with an od number of electrons. Also, this counting should ignore the core electrons i the molecule (these are treated in step 6). Very rapid reaction occurs between molten aluminium and iron. This leads to rapid alloying and increased dross formation. A ceramic-lined container is desirable. 

In this shorthand, they assume that any vertex between two lines contains a carbon atom unless specified otherwise. If there are several carbons in a row, they will make the lines join at angles, so that they can count the carbons if need be.

Elimination of nitrosating agents in formulations (e.g. soditim nitrite as corrosion inhibitor for metal containers) use of plastic-lined containers. 

Examples of these improvements are the packaging of dimethylamine products in plastic-lined containers and the elimination of sodium nitrite in the final product. This change in packaging and formulating makes it hi ly probable that N-dimethylnitrosamine will not form during storage of the product. Another example of the improvement of products is that Treflan products today contain less than 1 ppm of N-dipropylnitrosamine (T.) whereas some of the older products contained levels as high as 115-150 ppm several years ago (i, ). 

Storage stability Stable in glass, lead-lined, or enamel-lined containers reaction with iron may be explosive. Vigorous corrosive action on all common metals except lead reaction with iron may be explosive. 

Storage stability Store DF in lead and wax-lined carboys, high-density polyethylene bottles, or nickel-lined containers in well-ventilated areas. Never store DF with alcohols DF will react with alcohols to form lethal chemicals, such as crude GB. Incompatible with water, glass, concrete, most metals, natural rubber, leather, and organic materials like glycols. The acidic corrosive hydrolysis products may react with metals, such as Al, Pb, and Fe, to give off hydrogen gas, a potential fire and explosive hazard. 

A similar scheme is used to construct a quinazo-line containing halogen at both positions 2 and 4.
