Indium sample size

TG analysis of pantoprazole sodium was conducted obtained using a TA Instruments model 951 thermogravimetric analyzer system, calibrated using indium. The thermograms were carried out at a heating rate of 10°C/min, the sample size used ranged 5 to 10 mg, and the samples were heated over a temperature range of 50°C to 400°C. [Pg.229]

The variables of heating rate, sample size, instrument sensitivity level, and metal standard used were incorporated into a factorial, 3 x 23 design. To keep the number of runs within reasonable limits, Schwenker and Whitwell used only three metals, indium, tin, and lead, as standards. [Pg.280]

The OLED is composed of hard and soft layers so that the conventional cross-sectional TEM sample preparation techniques cannot be applied. Figure 10.3 is a first DB microscopy-prepared TEM image of an OLED in cross-sectional view [37], The glass substrate, ITO, organic layers, and A1 cathode are indicated in the image. The microstructure and interfaces of all these layers can be well studied now. The nanometer-sized spots in organic layers are indium-rich particles. We believe the combination of DB microscopy and TEM will greatly advance the OLED research and development in the near future. [Pg.621]

An X-ray map of the elements As, Sb, Cu, and Ag, was created for each sample at 500X magnification with a wave dispersive spectrometer (WDS) using Geller dPICT 32 software. The X-ray map was created from 24 individual maps combined for a total mosaic area size of 0.5 mm by 1.0 mm. For WDS analysis, an indium arsenic compound was used as an arsenic standard. Otherwise pure element... [Pg.317]

The crystals grown in this manner are in the form of clear sheets. The symmetry of the crystals is pseudotetragonal with a cell size of a0 = 3.841 A. and c0 = 32.83 A. Electrodes can be evaporated, or indium amalgam can be applied to the flat surfaces of the crystals, to produce samples for measurements. The d.c. resistance of the crystals is about 1012 fi-cm. They exhibit ferroelectric hysteresis loops up to the Curie temperature of 643°C. [Pg.145]

The use of irradiated particles as tracers provides an accurate way to measure particle velocity it allows one to calibrate low-cost flowmeters such as the capacitive flowmeter. Unfortunately, in most industrial environments, it is not possible to produce short-lived radioactive tracers. At ANL, a nuclear research reactor was available for the production of radioactive particles. Ideally, the density and size of the tracer particles and the solids in the flow should be the same so the tracers can be uniformly distributed in the flow and represent the solids velocity distribution. For that purpose, the sample particles to be activated were fabricated from resin, hardener, and indium oxide powder to closely duplicate the size and density of the glass beads used in the flow tests. The particles, after irradiated in the reactor, had a 54-min half-life of y activity. Twenty particles were injected into the flow stream during the reloading of the feed hopper, becoming randomly mixed with the glass beads. [Pg.246]

The experimentally observable fluorescence decay rate is a final product of QD size, surface, emission wavelength, electron hole overlap, as well as time varying extrinsic factors such as local chemical potential. In general, these factors vary not just from sample to sample but even for a single nanocrystal over time. At an ensemble level this generally leads to a multiexponential PL deeay in most cases, though a few notable exceptions (PbSe QDs, " Copper Indium Sulphide Core/shells " and certain alloy QDs) do exist. [Pg.136]

The advantages of lithographic methods are good size controllability and structural uniformity. However, since these methods rely on 2D self-assembling array structures, the enhancements are limited only on surfaces. It is therefore impossible to observe a sample in a bulk matrix or in a solution. Though the number of studies remains limited, wet chemical synthesis of Al and indium nanocrystals has been reported [22-26]. Al nanocrystals 50-100 nm in size have been successfully fabricated using alane derivatives as precursors and molecules with one or a pair of... [Pg.161]
