HOW TO USE THE CD-ROM

There are a number of ways you can use the CD-ROM in conjimction with the text. The CD provides you with enrichment resources. Pathways on how to use the materials to learn chemical reaction engineering are shown in Figmes P-3 and P 4. [Pg.957]

Students can use the CD-ROM in conjunction with the text in a number of different ways. The CD-RO.M provides enrichment resources. It is up to each student to determine how to use these resources to generate the greatest benelit. Table 1-2 shows some of the clickable buttons found in the Summary Notes within the Learning Resources and a brief description of what the. students will see when they click on the buttons. [Pg.1045]

The multimedia CD-ROM that accompanies this book also explains how to use the dynamic simulators. Emphasis is placed on HYSYS.Plant. Using HYSYS.Plant, the design... [Pg.107]

Va. Willmann-Bell, 2005. Though the hook discusses charge-coupled devices somewhat, it mainly focuses on how to use the images taken by such devices to produce pictures and do scientific research. Comes with a CD-ROM. [Pg.296]

The Praat system on the accompanying CD-ROM (in the folder praat) features an efficient PSOLA tool. Please refer to the user manual which is accessed via the program s Menu panel for instructions on how to use the PSOLA tool. [Pg.119]

In this part we will demonstrate how to modify existing PSpice models and how to create new models. We will assume that the user is familiar with PSpice models and knows how he or she would like to modify the models. A discussion of the various models requires too much detail to be given here. The user is referred to the PSpice Reference Manual available from Oread Corporation for model details. This manual is contained on the CD-ROM that accompanies this text. You will probably need to review the many references that Oread gives to understand the model parameters. Here, we will show how to make changes to existing models or create simple new models. Section 7.E contains simplified models for some of the commonly used parts. The model parameters given are for firsttime users. For more accurate models, you will need to refer to more detailed texts covering SPICE models. If you are more familiar with the models, you can use these procedures to modify all parameters in a model. [Pg.429]

ISO 9001 2000 quality manuals, together with 20 standard operating procedures, provide explicit instruction,s on how to achieve the standard for anyone responsible for writing and executing quality manuals and applicable procedures. Included herein is the ready-to-use template on a CD-ROM that one can immediately use as his own without reinventing the wheel, thus saving time and money without missing any critical quality elements. [Pg.425]

A detailed explanation on how to use eaeh of the following software packages along with examples can be found on the CD-ROM. [Pg.936]

Programs and worksheets to enhance the use of this book are on the accompanying CD-ROM and also on the Web site www.wHey.com/colIege/sa71dler, with instructions on how to use them. It is my intention to add to and update these programs on this Web site. . ... [Pg.932]

The aim of the system is to create a reliable archive, using duplicated CD-ROMs, of documentation to be used for BN-350 decommissioning and to enable distant users to access it. The supply of this system and of the know-how transfer provided to NTSC and BN-350 experts, come in excess to the assistance initially foreseen in the Tacis contract. [Pg.153]

This section is provided on the CD-ROM that accompanies this book. It shows how to use purchase and installation cost estimates from Aspen IPE and other sources, together with an economics spreadsheet by Holger Nickisch (2003) to estimate profitability measures for the monochlorobenzene separation process, which was introduced in Section 4.4. In Section 16.7, Aspen IPE was used to estimate the total permanent investment for this process. The economics spreadsheet, Profitability Analysis — l.O.xls, is on the CD-ROM that accompanies this book. [Pg.611]

On-line sources of data from routinely updated databases are excellent in the sense that one always has the most up-to-data information - much more reassuring than the book and CD-ROMS we have been used to. There is, however, a down-side to that. Quality-assurance processes may require the data source for a particular measurement to be specified within the written method. How would the QA manager feel about taking data from a continuously changing source that does not have an audit trail We have a duty to use the most reliable source of data, but we could end up in a situation where, at the... [Pg.344]

In Figure 2.2 the dashed lines labeled Sys. 350 , etc., are for experimental systems of the explosive and a Dural plate used to produce the system number (350) pressure value in kbar in the Dural plate. These experimental systems then produce the pressures shown for the various other inerts when placed in contact with the Dural plates. This is how the experimental Hugoniots were determined. The shock Hugoniots were collected and published in a data volume entitled LASL Hugoniot Datc which is now out of print however the collection of data is included on the CD-ROM. The BKW Hugoniot and isentrope through the C-J point and the Rayleigh line for Composition B explosive are also shown. [Pg.55]

To present information collected and analyzed through this research project. Fact Sheets were prepared that summarize the technical information for each strategy. Section II of this Handbook provides detailed information concerning how the Fact Sheet information was assembled and how they may be used to select greenhouse gas reduction strategies appropriate for a specific facility or project. The Fact Sheets are presented in Appendix A on the CD-ROM that accompanies this Handbook. [Pg.30]
